Biggest Loser 8 Fall Challenge -- for losers and maintainers!

Ok so some how after being discouraged this week the middleof this week I played my wii fit for 3 days and some how I lost 5 lbs?? Still in shock how that happened but not gonna complain either.

Well my friday QOTD is
1. Learn to be better at photography have a nikon d40 and would llike to learn how to be better at it

2.would like to go to all disney parks around the world and would like to visit Poland which is our heritage.

3.would like to be flexible with yoga and understanding it better.

4.would like one day to be a physical therapist

5.would like to go in space and just look at the world in a different point of view and how the other planets really look like

and for saturdays QOTD:

my favorite thing for breahfast while losing weight would be bananas, 3 c skim milk, strawberries blend together and have it with wheat toast with organic sugar free chocolate butter :)mmmmmmm.......makes me want to make it now lol :)

Okay... I've got to ask... you have 3 CUPS of milk plus bananas (more than one?) and strawberries and toast and chocolate butter for ONE breakfast? That would be over HALF of my day's calories. But you lost way more than me this week, so obviously it is working for you! Just curious. Do you eat lunch too? .............P
 
Saturday QOTD: What are your favorite go to breakfasts while losing or maintaing?

Well, I was really hooked on fast food breakfast sandwiches before I started WW, so I've modified it so I can still have it but for much fewer points. I use an Arnold sandwich thin or 1pt. Thomas English muffin, spray butter, 1 scrambled egg, and a little low fat shredded cheese with a glass of OJ.

I'm working really hard to journal accurately this week. I haven't lost much lately, but I've also been doing some "guestimating" at my points and not measuring stuff. This morning I had cereal for breakfast and I measured out a double portion of cereal and milk, which was 6 points. There was less in the bowl than I normally eat and I had only been putting down 5 points before. I also tend to only journal for the first 2 or 3 days after weigh-in and then I slack off, so I'm going to make myself stick with it this week.

It's been really nice outside, but there are tiny bugs everywhere! I'm not sure if they're gnats or what, but it looks like it's snowing outside. I told my daughter I couldn't go for a bike ride because I would end up eating too many bugs and I didn't know how many points were in them! :rotfl2: I'm going to do a little Wii fit in a couple minutes before I have to get ready for work. Maybe it will put me in a better mood. DD9's attitude problem is driving me nuts! I warned her that if she kept it up I was going to get angry, so she kept it up and I yelled at her and she started bawling. Why did my mom have to put that "I hope you have a child just like you" curse on me?

lol no what I do is when I do make it it usually lasts me for a day what I do is I make it and i have that for my drink as well as water with my lunch and dinner as well but then I dont make it for another week or so :) hahaha and it is only 1/2 banana my mom has the other half and it is only 1/2c of strawberries sorry I should of been more specific about it was in a rush when I posted didnt really pay attention lol
 

You know, I thought 3 cups sounded like a lot of milk, but I thought "Well, good she's getting her calcium!!" :laughing: It sounds delicous, I must say!

Thanks, Luvbaloo. I'm a little better but couldn't eat much as when I did my stomach started bothering me again as well as my back a bit. I had a busy day with my daughter's soccer game this morning (SHE SCORED HER FIRST GOAL EVER!) and then I had to go to work. Oh, and they won the game 5-0!

Didn't drink much water or anything today as I just didn't feel like it. I'll get back to it tomorrow though tomorrow is also kind of busy! I have to teach Sunday school in the morning and then we are going to a local Fall Festival for the state barbecue championships.

I'll keep my weigh in from Friday.

My go to is either a Light and Fit Yogurt (Key Lime is my fave) or a Fiber One or Luna bar (peppermint stick).

Right now my favorite breakfast is to eat a WW bagel with WW cream cheese and 1 cup of grapes (4 points and I'm always full at the end!! It's great!!!)

I love one eziekel english muffin, with 2 egg whites. one slice fat free cheese one slice extra lean turkey bacon YUM!

I do not think I introduced myself yet. My name is Becky. I have previously participated in Biggest Loser challenges but not for like the past year or so.

I just got back from being in Delaware for a week, so now it is time to get on the bandwagon and get on top of things. Even though I was away from home I lost 2 pounds during the first week.

I am starting the C25k program today/tomorrow depending how you read the clock.;):laughing:

I hope to check on a more regular basis and get to know more of you.
 
Sorry I got a little behind as we went out of town. I lost 0.5 this week was a huge relief for me considering how poorly I ate last weekend. I really stepped up the exercise this week which bailed me out.

As for the QOTDs:

How old were you on your first trip to Disneyland or DisneyWorld? And what's one (or more) of your favourite Disney memories (either at a park, cruise ship, or even just watching Disney)?

I first visited Disneyland at 10 and WDW at 21. My favorite Disney memory was my DD's first trip to Disneyland at 4 months old.

1. Learn to draw

2. Learn to swim well enough to enable me to do a triathlon

3. Learn more about home repairs (and not the hard way like I'm learning now!)

I make oatmeal with blueberries and walnuts almost every morning. The walnuts help to keep me filled up until lunch.

I haven't been around the thread this week, but I hope to be able to be here a couple time this coming week. Pittsburgh is hosting the G20 summit this week and I work in Downtown, and it is going to be a mess. So I don't have to actually be in town during the worst of it, I am working 10 hour days M-W and a regular 7 1/2 hour shift on Saturday. So I am going to be pretty whipped. I was able to do a good weight loss this past week. 6 lbs. If I can get just 1 this week, I'll be happy.

Hey I 'ran' 5 miles this morning....guess that makes up for the big piece of yummy delicious sinful chocolate cake I had last night:rotfl2:

I don't know if you go to Mice chat very often but in their roundup this week, someone posted a bunch of pictures of their trip to Poland.

Forgot to floss teeth yesterday due to the fact I was finishing the last Harry Potter book. Woke up at 3 am and couldn't fall back to sleep until I went and did it lol.

I'm glad that you asked this question because I have been in a breakfast rut. I put a post in the healthy eating section and got lots of good suggestions. This is an area that definiately needs some improvement for me. I think I'm doing pretty well and all of a sudden I figure out I've had 9 points if I have a skinny latte! (That's about 1/3 of my points so maybe it's not too bad :confused3)

Hey guys, sorry I've been MIA, I have been so stressed out. I ended up gaining 3 pounds because I ate to get through the stress.

On the good news front, I did earn my red belt. that was a lot of fun! BUT I held back at the beginning of testing so I would have enough steam left for the end, and I felt like I cheated myself. so proud and dissapointed at the same time.

Breakfast is actually one of my trouble spots. I don't eat most traditional breakfast foods and mornings tend to be so crazy that eating takes a backseat, which isn't good because then I end up grabbing something quick & junkie and/or overeating because I'm starving by the time I do get around to a meal. This is probably going to sound a little odd, but I've been grabbing a cup of lowfat, organic strawberry yogurt and one of DD1's arrowroot cookies for breakfast this past week. Just that little something light and sweet seems to make a big difference in getting the day started right.

I need some help in this area, too!

My usually is 1 cup of ceral w/ 1/2 cup skim milk. I dont usually have a lot of time in the mornings...so this is quick & easy.

Susan, I just finished Deathly Hallows not too long ago. I loved it and I was alot happier at the end of that book than I was at the end of Half Blood Prince.

We are going to take it easy and fight off these colds. I would like to do a little housework since MIL is coming in 2 weeks but may not get too far.

the light Thomas English muffin w/a scrambled egg cooked in the microwave - more like an omelet - sandwich yum!

Love the flossing cow - this is something I am getting in the habit of doing so this will help me out!!
 
Thanks to you and your niece and her grandmother for doing this project. My DD received a blanket from Project Linus a few years ago during a hospitalization after emergency surgery. She loved having that blanket with her in the hospital and she still sleeps with it EVERY NIGHT! We call it "sicky blankie" because she got it when she was sick. I've always wanted to make a few blankets for the project as a "return the favor" sort of thing, but of course, I've never actually done it.

Your story is one of the reasons that I do sit and knit for things like Project Linus. I am right now making pillowcases for Kids with Cancer. My girlfriend is the organizer for this for our local hospital. I am so proud that she has gotten involved with this. This woman has MS and can't work but that doesn't stop her from helping others when she can. She is a true inspiration.

MY mom had only 36 blankets. When I finally finished finding them in the basement I had 30 blankets and 10 quilt tops to donate. My neice didn't have a lot of girls show up but we were able to quilt almost all the quilt tops and she had about 10 fleece blankets finished by the girls who came. She had over 80 blankets all set to go.

The only bad part of the day is they only had snacky things to eat and too much sugar causes me to have heartburn so I didn't eat much all day. ABout 2:30 we closed up and we went to dsis's house. We went for a swim in their pool and then I had a hamburger. It took forever for me to get home from her house because of traffic and trying to find a certain gas station that my car likes. The nice thing was when I finally got home I sat with dh and he told me about his day. Then we got a calll from some friends and they asked us to come over just to sit on their deck with their fire pit and enjoy the lovely evening we had here in jersey last night. It was a lot of fun


I too forgot to floss last night but I should go up and do it right now so I don't forget again.

Have a nice rest of the weekend. I am wipedout and plan to spend the rest of the day just relaxing. I just made a batch of chili in the crockpot so dinner is good to go.

I have been trying to get to the Grand Canyon for YEARS its seems every time the trip is planned SOMETHING gets in the way.

I would also like to go to NYC.

My dream trip would be to tour the US all at one. Going up & down zig-zagging accross the US. I haven't really travelled much. Except MANY trips to Disneyland and 1 trip to WDW.
