I'm here lurking in the shadows. I have been busy between work and trying to get our camper ready for our annual Mem. Day campout. We leave on Thurs. morning (DH and I are going a day early, to have some alone time!)....so that will be my last weighin date for BL5.

We had a "camping meeting" with the other couples involved...last Saturday. Too much wine and cheese caused a 2 lb. weight gain. It was prolly mostly water weight, because as of this AM, it's gone. It just makes me mad that I let myself over-indulge so close to the final weigh in.

AS for our annual campout...this is our 30 yr. anniv. Can't believe we have been doing this every year for 30 yrs!!!. We have so much fun and soooooo much food and "beverage". I plan to take plenty of veggies. I am making a lite spaghetti salad and the diet pop cupcakes....hoping to ward off alcohol induced munching. Otherwise...the men-folk do all the cooking. Us ladies just have to do clean up duty....and work on our tans.
We eat like kings and queens.....Friday night is seafood night...shrimp, frog legs etc. Saturday night my DH is cooking a huge prime rib roast....and Sunday night will be a surprise. Yum.....can't wait.
Oh...I forgot......Sunday morning is our celebration breakfast.....the guys cook breakfast over the open fire....and make champagne spritzers and bloody marys for the ladies. Can you tell why the ladies love to go camping????
If I don't get a chance to report back in......thanks you all so much for the Biggest Loser. It has helped me succeed in accomplishing my weight goal for the month of May and got me exercising like I never have before. Everyone is awesome and winners in my book! If there is a Biggest Loseer #6...count me in!!!!:thumbsup2

Where is everyone?:confused3 :confused3

I am still here, but not posting much this week. Real life is going to be in the way until past the Holiday. It was decided at the beginning of the month, gee it might be good to have a garage sale during the holiday weekend. People won't travel much due to the high gas prices, maybe they will stay in town and go "junking". Any how the items are segregated and now just need to be priced. I hope we have a successful sale.

I plan to get back to exercising with only a a 5 to 6 day lay-off. I am still watching my diet, portions, drinking water, etc. I have a HUGE fear of putting weight back on quickly and I do not want that one IOTA.

Oh my goodness!!! It sounds like you will have an absolutely wonderful time. I am jealous. Hope the weather forecast holds true ~~ it is supposed to be with no rain and warmer temps starting Friday all the way through Tuesday.

Take care all and do not forget to weigh in on Friday.

I'm here...wish I was leaving with Wezee in the morning! Have a great time!!

I've spent too many hours this week trying on bathing suits!! This is it, the weekend I have been working so hard towards. Do or die, I'm taking my DS9 to the pool :scared1:

It's not that my body has changed so much from the outside, but I have more confidence in what those big thighs can do now  I did find a tankini that I like. Never thought I'd buy a two piece again. I actually like the way it fits better than the one pieces I tried. Everything is still covered :upsidedow

I've only lost 4 pounds in 7 weeks, but my endocrinologist told me to keep up the good work, like I thought she was going to. She said it's great that I lost any weight since I quit smoking right before I started. She also said my B12 was on the low side and it may increase my metabolism if I take it. I'll try anything!! If I hadn't paid in advance for my fitness training I'm sure I would have given up by now. The endo said my goal should be 1 pound a month!! She said that between my insulin resistance and hypothyroidism it will just be a hard, but not impossible time to lose the weight. She said when I see her again in six months she wants me down 6 pounds!!!

I hate that this is the last week. It's been a great experience for me. I'll post more about this weeks challenge tomorrow. It's bath time for my son. Good Luck everyone!!

Keep up the good work....I love those tankini's...I found two suits I loved last week and couldn't decide so bought both! I love the tankini top with the little short skirt on the bottom. Hold your head up high at the pool!!!:thumbsup2 This will be my first time, this year in a bathing suit also!

I also have had hypothyroid since the age of 13 ( I'm now 49) and once your meds are regulated....things will get a bit easier. I had half of my thyroid removed May of last year. It took awhile to regulate my meds, but things are good now....tho it is harder to lose weight....but can be done. I lost 50 lbs. 2 1/2 yrs. ago. Gained a few back this winter...but since the end of March have cracked down and lost 8 lbs. 5 more pounds and I will hit my ultimate goal! ( I now wear a size 6) So hang in there, love yourself and keep in touch...cause I sincerely understand the challenges you are facing...especially with a blood sugar issue on top of everything else.:cheer2: :cheer2:

WoooHooo David Cook wins American Idol!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Life has gotten in the way for me this week as well. Looks like it'll be a maintain week for me this week. I'd even say that it's my TOM but who knows these days...

Good Thursday morning. We are doing a special day for soph and seniors and I am going to be in and out of the building all day today. It is going to rain any minute now. I am here in my dh's sweatshirt, t-shirt and hat ready to brave the weather.

ON a different note. My ds's school did Beauty and the BEast in March and last night they went to a local award for the county and they won 7 catagories including best musical. Saddly we did not win best costumes (a catagory near and dear to my heart since I am the assistant to the costume designer) but he did win for best set.

Off to watch some kiddies Have a great day

I have been MIA all week. Sorry!
Last weekend was wedding #1 of the 6 I have this summer. It was my fiancé's family, so we had more to do than just go to the party. We had a great time though. This week my boss has been at a convention, so I have been running the office (and leaving VERY early every day :rolleyes1 ). I closed the office at 1 pm yesterday  . I really only have time to post when I am at work, hence the lack of posting.
Tomorrow we are going to Hershey Park and then spending the weekend relaxing (ideally). Next weekend is wedding #2!

Just about reading to leave for our camping weekend. I did my final weighin this morning and did not lose any...but didn't gain either. I did lose 1/2 inch on my top, middle and bottom..this week......so I'm happy.
You all are great.....I hope we can do this again sometime....have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Hi all,

We are also off to wedding # 2 of the summer. I hope the hotel has internet, but if not I will post the results Sunday night when we get back.

Good luck all and thank you for being to inspirational. I didn't have a very good five weeks, but I am less than when we started. So any loss is a good loss.

I'm here, but haven't been posting. Though I don't post much other than PMing my weight anyways.

I went from maintaining to at least a 3.5 gain ... we'll see how bad it is tomorrow. The sad part is that I haven't eaten junk, my portions have been dead on, I've been working out. I just keep gaining - and no, it's not the muscle gain before the weight drop ... I wasn't out of shape to that point when I restarted working out. Nothing seems to help at all.

Anyways, thanks for the challenge and have a good summer everyone.
