I just checked my numbers and I am down 2 pounds from 2 weeks ago. Not bad when I think about what I weighed on Sunday morning. (I am down like 5 pounds from Sunday)

Don't forget the following from Joanne(JOANNEL)
Please report your weight using the number of pounds ie xxx pounds
If you would like to add your change for the week that is OK ie I lost 2 pounds. Remember weights can be reported in 1/10 of pound increments ie xxx.x pounds.

Please report by midnight Friday
If you are late report as soon as you remember. I know sometimes RL (real life) is more important.

Please PM or email your weekly report to Joanne (JOANNEL )

Now folks, help out a weight keeper here please!! Please report your weekly weight to Joanne by PM or email to jlabbe@sterlingresorts.com . Remember to report by midnight Friday and remember to report in pounds ie xxx pounds (not just I lost x pounds). PrettyPlease!!

Hope there are some good numbers out there this week. This is the last week.

ok...I'll start off the weighins....I lost 2 lbs. this week. I should be happy....but as of yesterday I had lost 3 lbs. So....dumb me...did an extra workout last night and did not eat much all day...hoping for even bigger numbers. I should have known, that does not work for me, because my body tends to hold on to the weight if I don't feed it!

We'll just go with I maintained ..... I got about 8 different weights on the scale this morning - the maintain weight was the only one that I got more than once ....

don't know what that means about my scale ... I guess I broke it :sad2:

I am up a few ounces, but I'm ok with that since it is my TOM. I'm happy! Last week was a good week, but I didn't exercise, so I was very careful with what I ate. Still a good turnout. Congrats to all losers!

I'm down .3

I'm seeing my endocrinologist on Tuesday. Among other things, I'm going to ask her if she has any ideas about how I can drop the weight faster. I have a feeling she's going to tell me to keep up the good work...

Four pounds in nine weeks of hard effort is frustrating!!!

I keep reminding myself about losing the 3 1/2 inches from my waist...

Good Morning all,

Sorry to have been so absent from this thread. But with the kids home from college and no my mother & sisster are here, it's been a little hectic.

I am down three this week!!!! It's going to be hard this weekend though. We are staying in a aocndo at the beach and it's my Mothers birthday. So we are going to be eating out a lot.

Good luck with the scale today every one.

Well, I had no change.
I should be happy about this considering a) Mothers day cellebration b)MIL was here for weekend c) baby and I were sick.
I should and must however remember that it is my decision on what and how I eat and what and how to exercise. I must take responsability for my actions.
Oh well, this will be a good week, I am sure of it.
Good luck to everyone!

Ok folks. This is our last week and as such this week’s challenge is not so much about what we will be doing this week, but rather how we will manage the summer. I encourage all those, even those who are not participating in the weekly challenges, to get involved in the conversations. Summer is a hard time for everyone to keep on track, so if you have a good idea, please share it!

This challenge is on your honor system, be accurate and honest with the points you award yourself.

Summer
1 Go outside. (5 points for every 20 minutes you spend outside, whether it be walking the dog, playing with the kids, gardening, or just reading a book in the sunlight- max 20) Don’t forget the sunscreen!
2 Drink 6 glasses of water each day this week (5 points for each successful day) Dehydration is not a good thing!
3 What summer adventures are you planning? How does this affect your mind set on your weight loss journey? (Are you planning on maintaining, continuing to lose?)Discuss (10 points)
4 How do you plan on surviving vacation? How will you maintain your eating and exercising? How will you keep your stress level down? Discuss (10 points)
5 Write down your goals for the summer, from fitness, weight loss and health, to reading that new novel, visiting with people you don’t get to see, staying on budget while away or just having more "me" time. Prioritize them and jot down ways to get them accomplished. (25 points) Review this list often over the summer.

This challenge is meant to motivate you...not to stress you! You may choose to complete one or two of the tasks, or all of them. Let this challenge be want you need it to be.....to CHALLENGE YOU!

The challenge will begin on Saturday 12:01 a.m. May 17 and ends on Friday May 23 at midnight. PM your total points to Raenstorim or email to ferretfeet@gmail.com by noon on Monday May 26 (Memorial Day).

Suggestion – print out the task list and keep it handy to mark off each time you complete one for easy and accurate record

I am down less than a pound from last week...but I know last weekend did me in with mother's day....tomorrow is my birthday so I can't say what will happen...but my weight loss is in the front of my mind so I hope I can restrain myself. I plan on going to a movie to rewards myself instead of extra cake or candy....Sunday we are going out to dinner to celebrate with hubby and our three kids!!!

My family is very, very supportive. Our two DD's 20 and 24 both eat healthy and work out and are always encouraging me. Hubby walks a lot and always asks me to join him...I don't always want to but I try to (I hate excercise in any form). Our son 23 always tells me I look beautiful!!!

Hi all, and Happy Friday!!!!

I'm so happy to report that I lost 2.5lbs this past week:woohoo: This makes me so happy!!!!:yay: I have officially lost 5lbs in about 5 weeks - I think that's pretty good!!!!:thumbsup2

I never discussed how my loved ones help me or hinder me with my weightloss challenge (I already sent in my points, so I'm not counting this). My DH, God Bless him, loves me no matter what, and he has seen me many different weights (we've been together for 20 years now - since we were 16 years old). He does not watch what he eats, so this makes things very difficult for me. I actually think he enjoys it when I'm a little bit heavier, and not watching what I eat, because than he doesn't feel guilty about eating in front of me. I'm hoping that this time around my better eating habits start to rub off on him, so he can start being healthier too :)

I grew up in a family that was all about desserts, and my mom is still like that, which makes things hard. When we have dinner at her house, she will buy or make something to have for dessert. I always eat it, because if I say "no thanks" than I can see the hurt feelings written all over her face, and I don't want to hurt her feelings.

So doing this in my world, is not easy, but I'm trying very very hard to stay on track when I'm alone, so than when I'm with others, I won't feel guilty when I treat myself to something I normally wouldn't have.

Good evening everyone,

I am down 1 pound this week. I am happy with that.

Sure does seem like the 5 weeks have gone by really fast.

Have a great weekend all!

:thumbsup2

Had another loss this week which is very good. I realize now that walking (at least for me) takes the weight off faster than working out to a video in front of the TV. Running was even better but I am trying to rest my legs a bit to see if I can get that pain to go away. I don't seem to have it when I walk like I do when I run so we'll see. I haven't given up on the running though....

I'm down 2.4 that is almost 8 lbs for the whole 5 weeks. I have done moderate exercize and watched my eating habits but nothing drastic. Definately something I can continue! I feel great and my pants are finally starting to show it!

I can't wait to see where I am 5 months from now!

Well, I'm up 0.2 this week. That puts me at an even 15 lbs lost so far, but still a gain nonetheless. I Hit the big 4-0 on this past Monday and between the birthday dinner/cake (and a leftover piece on tuesday lol) it was to be expected. But that just has me more determined to get back on track, when normally I would give up for a bit. So thanks again to the group, this has been a real motivator.

Great job everyone! Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to drop from the challenge. I started a nanny job this week and am having a hard time figuring out when and how to exercise, plus I can't get to a computer most days. Keep up the great work everyone and I'll be looking for a new challenge to join in with as soon as things settle down and I can work out a schedule with my new job.

Hooray, I'm in the top 12 losers!!!!! :woohoo: :yay:
This makes me whole day!!!!!

Congratulations to everyone on this list, and to all those that are participating in this wonderful thread. It doesn't matter if you have lost, stayed the same, or even gained a little bit, all that matters is that you are trying to live a healthier lifestyle, and God Bless us all for trying our hardest!!!!!

Have a good night everyone!!

This challenge has been a great experience for me!! I happened to weigh myself this morning, checking on the weekend damage so far... and I am down .6 pounds just since Friday!!

What is amazing is that Friday was my husband's birthday and we had a fabulous dinner. I ate way past full and then they brought out a huge chunk (too big to be a piece) of cheesecake for him. We ate almost all of it! I drank wine... My son and I made cupcakes last night for him and I ate two more than I was planning on, and snuck in some extra chocolate frosting when nobody was looking.

I just knew I was going to be way up on the scale again. Could all my workouts be coming together, like my fitness trainer said it would?? I hope I didn't just jinx myself...

Also, today is the day...I'm going to go buy a new bathing suit. A great day for a mental boost!!

Good Monday MOrning. It is cool but sunny hear in jersey but it is supposed to be rainy off and on all week.

How was everyone's weekend. I had Sat to myself. I went for a blood test and when I came home I found out that they had forgotten to give me back my id and insurance cards. So back out I went and then up to my school to a flea market. I got some old fashioned corningware (You know the kind with the blue flower on the front) and some Christmas napkins. Then since it was in the area I went to a quilt show. That was fun since it is spread out over 4 buildings and it is at least a 1/4 mile (maybe more) each way between the main building and the barn/farmhouse. It was great weather for a walk. I bought some Japanese inspired fabrics for a wallhanging for my sister (She works for Panasonic) Then when dh and ds came home we went out to see the latest Narnia. I thought the special effects were really cool. I enjoyed it but it is not for really little kids Too much violence.

Yesterday was a crazy day. Church then to a local nursing home to help out with a mass they do every week (Had to go to church first since I was reading) Then grocery shopping started dinner in the crockpot (ribs) and then over to ds's school to get costumes ready for an awards show they are going to perform at on Wed night. They were nominated for 11 catagories for their Beauty and the Beast.

Well off to get the day started. Some kids have some state testing to do and I have to go suppervise some other students.

Hope everyone has a great day.
