So i made it through the whole week with going to the gym for at least and hour.... i made it through 2 Kwando classes being able to keep up with everyone!! and going on the eliptical for 35 min is getting easier...I think i have gotten into a pattern for my workouts! Now my question to my fellow lossers....Is it better to eat before of after you work out???

Hey, you are doing TaeKwonDo too? That is terrific, we can commiserate together!:thumbsup2 Great job getting into a routine!

Question of the Day?

What are your secrets for feeling fulfilled and happy every day?

I have a blessing book that I write in. I try to daily write at least one thing that I am thankful for that day and one thing that I am praying about. It is neat to go back and see how things worked out and it keeps me focused on the positive instead of the negative.

Way to go everybody and a big Way To Go to my buddy Mudnuri

Question for all. I am trying to make good food choices when eating out. I ordered a chicken ceasar salad at Olive garden. I looked it up on Calorie King when I got home and it said it was over 900 calories!!!! Is that possible?

It is if you eat all that dressing! The basic salad isn't bad at all, but you have to get the dressing on the side and really limit the amount you use.

Challenge #2
My plan is to do the 45 minute pool aerobics tomorrow and Sunday, as well as 15 minutes on the elliptical each day, and all the walking I'm doing here. Then once I get home, I will go to the gym 6 days a week and start inching up from 1/2 mile on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the elliptical. I will also stretch after each workout, because it is good for me and it feels good too!

Today I did the pool aerobics, which increased my cardio by 40 minutes, and included a very nice 5-10 minute stretch at the end. Excellent!

I found out from the nutritionist today that I'm actually not eating enough! Amazing! I need more calories, more protein, and more veggies. WOW!

Off to bed--it's been a busy day!

My exercise plan for the week is as follows:

Friday - 3 mile walk away the waistline
Saturday - 4 Really Big Miles + 20 mins strength
Sunday - Day off. Shoping at the mall, Costco etc, will get in lots of walking.
Monday - 5 Mile Advance Walk
Tuesday - 4 Mile Super Challange
Wednesday - 4 Mile Walk Slim + 20 mins strength
Thursday - 3 Mile w/ weights

Thanks for all the support. The bosu class last night kicked my butt. Then we went to the movies so for dinner all I had was a fiber one bar. SO I gues my calories for the whole day wasn't as bad as I expected.

I am off to group power this am.

Have a great Saturday.

My exercise plan:
Monday -30 min elliptical followed by some Yoga
Tuesday- 60 minutes power yoga and 20 minutes elliptical
Wednesday- 30 minutes elliptical by some yoga
Thursday- 60 minutes power yoga and 20 minutes elliptical
Friday- 30 minutes elliptical 20 minutes yoga
Saturday- 30 minutes elliptical
Sunday- Fun with the kids skating, sledding or skiing..

yes, that is one of the things they talk about in WW meetings. Not enough food can trigger your body's survival mechanism which reduces your metabolism. So keep track of what you are eating, weigh & measure to make sure you are not short-changing your body.

hey! not taking TaeKwondo but this class is pretty intense!!! i wake up the next morning with muscles hurting that i didn't even know i had!!! lool

It's saturday night and what am i doing?? sitting at home watching the sabres play!! I did good and went to the gym today!! added 10 min to my eliptical time today! My BF and i just got into a argurment and all i want to do now is eat... it was a stupid argument... but now i probally won't see him tonight... sometimes i feel like we are still in H.S and we aren't ... we actually have our 10 yr reunion this year!! so i thought i would come on here and do some posting instead of eating....

Question about the addded 10 mins to cardio. Does this 10 mins have to be added to your planned workout (making a planned 60 min to 70 mins) or can it be a 10 min or more cardio added at a different time (say a 15 min walk at lunch)?

Congrats, everyone! Just wanted to say GREAT JOB to my buddy, mickeynminnie (Kristy)!!!! :cheer2:

I continue to be totally amazed by all the hardwork that everyone is doing. Truly inspiring to each and everyone of us. Way to go for those that are really reaching out there and doing new experiences, like Tae Kwan Do! The support that others are finding from loved ones and family members is terrific too.

It is interesting also in my house as husband and I are starting to watch Biggest Loser, we are getting hooked.

I would like to say hello to my buddy, flafan, and tell her publicly that I really appreciate her and to stick with it. I also have another "unofficial" buddy and would like to encourage her also.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

I am doing pretty good today, it's a work day and we were pretty busy. but I had one victory today. We ended up eating breakfast fairly early ~ 6:15 am. Then we were able to take a quick break at around 9:15. My coworker went down and got a bagel to munch on, and I went with her for the company, but I did not get anything, and instead of eating a snack, I just drank my water!:drinking1 any victory is one to celebrate!

Inspiring. Truly inspiring. Wow Vija. Good for you.

Lisa

Thank you! That means a lot to me!

I know what you mean about the muscles. But didn't it feel good to "feel" those muscles. It's the way God meant for our bodies to move and it feels great. Great job for taking an intense class!:thumbsup2

thanks for the kind words, and I agree with you. The stories I have read here have been so inspiring and the support is overwhelming. I think we are very lucky to have all of our WISH friends!:grouphug:

Enjoy that biggest loser show! It is great to watch, and I love seeing the "what they look like now" segments. Great to see them succeed and loose weight at home!

Just like we can do it!!!

I am AMAZED at the amount of exercise some of you are able to do!! 30 minutes of this, 60 minutes of that--in my DREAMS!!

I did the pool aerobics again today--mostly interval training--and it was SO intense! I was totally exhausted at the end. I waited until 4:30 to do my 15 little minutes on the elliptical, and that was practically torture!

I guess because I am doing WAY more walking here, and the pool class is not a normal thing for me, my body just isn't sure how to handle the extra activity.

Again, I got that extra 10 minutes of cardio (actually alot more) from the pool class, as well as the stretching. I am definitely going to stretch at home before working out--it really does make a difference!

Right now, I am taking my poor, tired body to BED!!

'night all.
