Biggest Loser 4 Week 13

i'd like to continue, i'm close to my goal but probably won't reach it by Apr 15 and then i'd love to keep one with my loser friends to keep it off! i think posting your WI result on a specific day would work out great; and I appreciate the offer to post challenges for the group :teeth:

well i'm going to FC for my last LW before the 1/2 i'm preparing for. I just signed up for my final BL WI (at the YMCA) for saturday morning so cheer me on to avoid sugar until then!! i'm struggling with that again ;(

Good Thursday Morning everyone.

I am sorry that I have not been as active as I was at the beginning. THe last month at work has been hard on me and I am really not feeling myself. If it was not for this challenge I would have probably gained a lot more weight than the 2 pound that I have put on. I would like to continue after the 15th. I don't mind starting the thread and I like the idea of changing the weigh in day to Friday (I am much better on the weekdays than the weekend). Anything that I can do I would gladly do.

Ohmom Good luck on the weigh ins and the 1/2 that you are planning to do .

Congrats to all the losers this week. Gainer Next week will be our week.

Have a magical losing daypixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Not to hijack the thread here, but I think we are agreed that we will continue through Memorial.
Dona has graciously agreed to remain our thread starter (Are we moving weigh in to Friday?)
I will take on the challenges part.
There have been quite a few offers of number crunchers. Who would like to actually sign up? We need a "lead cruncher" and a VP cruncher. I think Joannel has volunteered to take the lead on this, but I am not going to nominate anyone without their approval.

So now we need a VP (in case the lead is sick or away) and a vote on changing the weigh in day.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, the Weight Keeper speaks

Good morning Losers! Thank you so much to those that have offered their BL opinions and especially to those that have volunteered to help. Your commitment is necessary to keep our challenge alive. After 15 weeks of BL 4 and 15 weeks of BL 3 I need to step back. It is frustrating to me that in 30 weeks I have not lost a significant amount of weight. I guess I should be thankful that I did not gain and I am at least trying somewhat. I think reporting to someone else will be good for me. I am excited though because DH found a crazy 11 day diet on the internet and we are doing it together. It helps so much to have support at home.

Now let's look at how we did this week.

We started the week with 39 participants. 4 folks have not checked in for three weeks and have been dropped from the challenge. Of course they will be welcomed with open arms if they decide to make a report to me in the future. We have a returnie this week that I am happy to see.

We are now at 36 current participants. 9 people did not check in for the week. 5 of them have missed 2 weeks and 4 have missed one week.

27 participants weighed in this week. We had 6 gains for 11.1 pounds, 4 maintains, and 16 losses totaling 33 pounds for a weekly cumulative net loss of 21.9 pounds. After our gain last week it is nice to have a loss this week. Our dropped members took 21.4 pounds from our cumulative loss which leaves us with a cumulative loss of 380.5 pounds.

(drum roll and fanfare please)

Congratulations Lynn!!! Your hard work is paying off. Keep it up.

Congratulations to all our listed weekly superstars. Even if you are not on the list you are a superstar for sticking with our challenge. We are rounding the home stretch. I see the finish line for the WISH Biggest Loser 4 challenge but I know that my weight loss journey will continue after that and I am excited that you all will be there with me.

If I can keep on this crazy eating plan with DH I know I will be a superstar next week. Anybody else up for the challenge? I'd love to see some new names on the superstar list next week. Let's get revved up and kick it into high gear. I dare you to see what happens!

Have a healthy day!

I am conferring with BL central about the future of our challenge. ohMom (Molli) is our mod who overseas what we are up to. I have made some suggestions to her and the other current co captains (donac and PRINCESS VIJA) and am waiting to hear what their opinions are.

Rest assured my little losers we WILL have something in place before April 15 and will not leave you stranded in the lone and dreary weight loss world all alone. Just be patient grasshopper.

Have a healthy day!

Congrats to the top ten. I see two of my cruise budies made the list. Way to go Amanda and Joanne! :thumbsup2

Please post here and share your brand new tag. I think it is very witty, just like you. I wish the tag fairy payed attention to what I said.

I would also like to keep the group going. I really like the accountability and focus that BL has given me. I'm a little worried that without needing to "weigh-in" I will lose my motivation.

I am happy to help in whatever way anyone needs me to.

Just wanted to brag though.....I am very proud of myself for throwing food away yesterday when I realized I was full. I was eating a second piece of pizza at lunch and as I was eating it I realized I was trying to finish it because it was there not because I was still hungry. I felt like that was a real breakthrough for me. :goodvibes

You go girl!!!!!

Thanks Brenda! And Molli and Dona too! you all are the best! I'm in for whatever we decide to continue with. i know I need all the help I can get! And I really don't care what day we weigh in--they are all the same to me!

Isn't it COOOOOOL!!! I was SOOOO excited! Just noticed it this AM! I had posted on a thread on the community board, something about, so, if you could catch the tag fairy, what would you want on your tag? I said that since that (the tag) is something I always say, it would be my first choice. And lo and behold, within 24 hours, it was there! Made my whole week! (yup, even better than the scale!)

Go buddy!:woohoo: Top ten again! I am so jealous! ;)
Congrats to all you losers. One day soon I will be back in the top 10!

Hi everyone,

I have much to report! First congrats to all the losers! Way to go!!!!

OK, here goes.... I got a new job! I will be working in the OR at the local hospital. (I have worked in the OR for a little over 16 years) It is going to be a M-F position (I do weekends right now). I am very excited to be getting off the weekend program. I know it will be a big adjustment and a learning curve, as they don't do any heart surgeries, and that is all I have done for the past 14 years! They also recover their patients, so that will be another area I will have to learn, I am a smart cookie, so I know it will be OK, I just hope I get the time needed for orientation to learn the new stuff.

I am going to miss my "me time" that I have had. It is nice to be off M-F. I have done the weekend program for almost 9 years!:scared1:

AND I joined WW last night. I needed to do something to have more control with the food.

**** and answering Brenda's questions... yes, I would like to have some form of the Biggest Loser continue. Especially now that I rejoined WW, I would love to continue with it. I know that my time will now be limited due to switching hours at work, but I guess I would like to contribute maybe the QOTD. that would be nice because it would make me get on daily and be accountable!:rotfl:

Oh Vija,

That's fantastic. Congratulations. Was thinking about your interview. When do you start?

Lisa

Hey everyone,

I've finally made a decision. Memorial Day being the final time was the clincher. I believe you celebrate it right around my birthday - May 30. So it seemed to be a great fit for me to keep going as is.

I would love to take over the weight keeper position. I have time because I'm a supply teacher and don't get a call every single day. But I know Joanne and others mentioned picking it up. So whatever works for everyone. And Brenda does it with such finesse. Wow, what a challenge to keep near to that.

So here we are. Extending to Memorial Day in the same manner?

Lisa

Wendy,

Let's just say I did this :lmao: and this :rotfl: when I read that line.

The week I was the biggest loser I knew my loss was big. Before it was calculated I scanned the entire week, with an awful feeling in my stomach, like this:

"Please, please someone out there must have lost more weight. Anyone? Someone? Pretty please. I want to be #2"

Wendy, I think we have an issue that needs to be fixed. :rotfl: :lmao:

That is so very awesome. Good luck on the new position. Yes, it is a transition to work week days instead of weekends, but you'll find it has it advantages too. I found I could go to festivals, shows and special events, had the same days off as the rest of the family, and things like that. And welcome to WW. Go to those meeting, get to know the group there, and write down every single bit you eat (preferably before we eat it, sigh). You can do it, Yes you can!:cheer2: :cheer2:

We are starting to list all the things that we are going to do on weekends. Starting with going camping and up to my parents lake cottage, and going out to brunch for Mothers Day!!! thanks for the welcome to WW. I am keeping track and I know I can do this. I even had an apple with my lunch.

Congrats to everyone!! And good luck in your new job Vija!

Thanks!!!

You guys made me giggle with that!;)

Way to go on the new job Vija! The transition may be tough at first, but you'll do great!

Congrats to this week's Superstars! Especially to you Lynn.

Lisa - Glad you'll be sticking around!

simpilotswife - Way to go on the pizza. I have found myself doing the same thing more lately and it feels great!

I'm celebrating my own personal success lately with my nails. The challenge several weeks ago included giving yourself a manicure and pedicure. Since I was babysitting at my sister's and she had the stuff, I did it that night. Since then, I have not bitten my fingernails! I have white tips showing at the end of every finger and several of them are pretty decent size. I bought a nice file to keep with me for when their tear and to buff them up to look shiny. Now if I could just figure out how to strengthen them and get them to quit tearing easily.
