Biggest Loser 2009 - Couples 2

Did Bob just have a BBQ and ONLY invite Filipe and Sione?

I thought the same thing--Boy those kabobs looked good--I might have to try them

What was most annoying to me about the first part of the challenge was the way Felipe and Sione (especially) giggled and giggled like little schoolkids each time they loaded Tara's scale with weights. I cannot stand those two!

They are such wussies. They needed split up--Stupid Stupid Stupid.

I was cheering when Tara won. And yea, I get why they loaded her up with the weights.

So....who thinks Tara waterloaded? I do. The shock of not losing to the 100lb mark is not like her, you know?

That was so good! The look on the blue guys face--HeHeHe.
She probably did waterload--In a way--good for her--being the first girl to 100 could have been her moment--game play was more important--At least someone feels that way.

Ron's holier than thou attitude is getting on my last nerve. I don't like Helen but the scolding her for going with Jillian was ridiculous. And his comments while they are sitting around talking--OMG-just shush it up.

Mikes going w/ Jillian (no matter how he got there) is great. He needs to continue to break from his Dad. Obviously he is not a good influence on his sons. I think Ron will gain again once home--he hasn't kept it off before when he's lost--Mike needs to become his own person, and not fall into his Dad's failure pattern.

Aubrey- Well I hope she does OK at home. Doesn't look all that great for her. Where is her husband--Can't he pick up some slack w/ the kids--I didn't get a good feeling that he wanted her to do well. Was he the one at the beginning who didn't want her there?

I think it was her sister Mandy.

It was Mandy's husband who didn't want her to be there.

I feel bad for Aubrey. There are times when I don't feel like I have time to work out, and I don't have any kids! I can't imagine what it must be like to have 5!

My favorite moment of last night's show (besides Tara's victory!) was when Laura was talking to her and totally changed her attitude. Little Jillian! That was awesome.

Oh- My mistake--I couldn't remember. I wonder if Mandy and Aubrey live close to one another--to be each others support systems?

I feel bad for her too--It's just hard to get it all done. I have 2 kids, and very seldom get to the gym as much as I want. I thought it would be easier since the kids are older and can go work out w/ DH, and I, but we still don't make it. Between work, homework, sports, scouts, music, gymnastics--UGG!

Which teams did they show in the previews coming back. I only saw the teams that were sent home together, but didn't see the gray team-Were they shown?

maybe they had a hard time getting Joelle out of bed?
I don't know, I didn't see it 'cause I had to get things ready for the morning.

I'm beginning to feel a tad bit intrusive when the cameras are on Bob/Felipe/Sione as a group. The giggling was nerve grating.

I really don't understand Kristen's thought process very well and haven't for weeks. She seems to be hanging on the original "Bob" team, but the sad thing is I don't think any of them feel the same loyalty to her. If it gets down to Felipe/Sione and Ron/Mike -- she is going to be the odd woman out. Maybe she has a plan that hasn't been shown yet, she seems like a pretty intelligent lady.

Great show!

I loved how Tara kicked their butts. was happy to Laura be the "Little Jillian" to her.

Aubrey and Sione deserve to be at the bottom. I think sending Sione home would have been better but Aubrey was a pain the the ****!!

Go Tara and Mike!:cool1:

I loved how Bob was insulted that Mike did the coin flip to decide. :rotfl:
He's only 18 what the heck did Bob expect. That was a big decision for him.
It was sweet that he didn't want to hurt their feelings.

Funny how Jill had to say that to them while Bob stood there and moped. :)

Oh I know. Besides Tara that was the best part of the show.:lmao:

And then of course RON discounting his son's decision. Ron makes me sick.

Mike said he flipped a coin, but I highly doubt it.:lmao:
I think he did not want to be with the Bob's Team because it would include Filipe and Sione, seriously.

Like Kristen found out....Bob is NOT going to focus on her. Frankly she made a mistake and I think she realized it.

tara really rocked it last night!!! She is just plain AWESOME! once she makes up her mind she is so determined- and bless her friend for helping her out there. They're a good team after all!

I'm kinda glad that Tara didn't hit the 100 lb. mark and set that record first. She had already had a fantastic victory that week- it was time for Kristen to shine a little. How many think Tara gave that record up voluntarily?? IF she did...... it was a really smart move!

I also liked the way Jillian pulled Tara aside after the challenge and gave her the thumbs up.... I thought that was a touching moment.

I'm all behind Tara .... she's motivated, she's competitive.

I wouldn't be surprised she water-loaded some this week since she had immunity. She'll need that big weight loss NEXT week. Still, she lost 3 pounds.

I'm not a Filipe/Sione hater ... I think their giggling last night is probably a cultural thing -- they were having some fun (somewhat mean fun, but fun still the same).

I'm also rooting for Mike -- I hadn't really noticed their weight losses too much until last night when they showed their beginning weight/pictures and where they are now prior to weighing!

Isn't it funny how you don't notice it week to week. It takes the beginning week pics to really show it off. When they held up Mike's shirt from the beginning it was great.

I don't think Laura looks that much smaller, and Kristen is still chunky, but they have lost. Laura has lost as much in the face as others, and Kristen started out so heavy- she is just getting to where past contestants have started out. When I see the before pics, it really shows the progress.

Last nights show made me like Tara even more - I was so happy she won that challenge. She deserves to win so hopefully she will either keep winning immunity or start getting bigger #'s each week. I was amazed when I saw Mike's starting shirt - it was HUGE - especially compared to the one he was given to wear now. I was happy he chose Jillian - I would love to see him kick butt with Jillian and possibly win it - just to prove his dad wrong. That was wrong of Ron to say his son was stupid for making the choice he did.

I'm with everyone else I like Tara and Mike. And yes...they seem to be keeping this "old" Bob "old" Julian mentality which is absolutely rediculious.

Felipe was all "I'm glad I got Bob back" and I was confused b/c he's been training with him for 2 weeks now.

My thoughts on choosing trainers was this...if you go back to the beginning and look all the way through...Jullian's team (regardless of whose on it) pulled a majority of the higher numbers...that is until Felipe and Sieone flipped. Then they started pulling their usual 3-8 lbs.

So as far as Mike and that other pink lady were concerned...Julian helped them pull bigger numbers than when they were with Bob. I'm glad they all didn't just pick Bob. I think that Tara and her partner are good as long as they stay above the yellow line. With so many original Bob members left I think they both have 2 or 3 weeks and great chance at making the final. The pink lady may flip.

The challendge was just cruel in the beginning. I mean, Ron made it seem like they were really going to gang up on the folks that ditched Bob for Julian (the Pink lady and Mike) but only the Pink lady really got creamed with weight. The guys a hypocratic. Where was the punishment for Mike?

I don't think Tara water loaded. I think she just didn't try too hard. That day of the weigh in the players go to big lengths to make the biggest weight loss possible. They take laxatives, they don't drink water. I'll bet it's a bit like watching a wrestler or boxer trying to make his weight class. I think that Tara did give up winning the 100 lbs so that she could have a bigger number next week, but I don't think she did anything extreme. She has to watch it now. This is when it gets tough. She under 200 and the closer you get the your goal weight the slower the weight comes off.

I'm horrible with names, so the girl that left...well, I don't know why all the drama it was very obvious she was going home. She was old Jullian. At least next week it should be an old Bob member going home.

As for Felipe making the bottom 2. All I can say is Karma sucks but it always comes back to bite you in the butt. Whether it was Karma for the way he treated Jullian or Karma for the way he treated Tara...he deserved the scare.

I don't get it-last season they were all about game play. Getting out the strong players and trying to do what's best for themselves to win. This season it seems that they don't play it as a game. They are on their own now. Why are they not voting to get out the strongest players? I think Mike and Ron voted for the wrong person!

Old Bob's team has be ousting Old Jullian's team for some time now. Only the Green team is left of Old Jullian. They started with all their strong players. Old Bob is just doing everything they can to get Old Jullian out b/c Jullian is undefeated. Bob won 1 season, but Jullian was there that other trainer was. She one her first season, lost her second, and was completly eliminated when Jullian's 3 team of rejects came in a crushed both her and Bob.

Ron is looking out for only him and his son...mainly his son. So you know if another big guy like Sione or Felipe goes under with...say the purple girl or the pink...he'll definitely pick the guy to leave so his son has a chance to win.

So game play is VERY MUCH a part of this season. It's all about getting ALL of Jullian's players out and eliminating Jullian from the show. It's actually kind a sick and cruel to have that 1 goal in mind, if you ask me...

DH swears he saw Kristin in Warsaw, Indiana on the 22nd. Said she had a blue Biggest Loser shirt on and had her dog at the apartments behind the Kohl's. The only thing I can figure is that she was in that area because there's a new 24 hour fitness in front of the Kohls. :confused3
That would make sense even if she is in the final ... what is it ... 4?

How long do they usually go home for before the final weigh-in? 8 weeks, right? There are only 5 episodes left before the finale so if it's 8 weeks then that would make sense. It would also make sense that she's still "chunky" as her weight is where a lot of the female contestants start. I have to wonder why she's in Indiana though as she's from Wisconsin.

They were foolish to not send Filipe home but I wasn't sad to see Aubrey go home either.

Wow, your right--there are only 5 left--I kept thinking there were more for some reason-I guess it is almost April:rolleyes: I'm dense sometimes.

So there are 8 left right now, so 1 player can come back next week which would make 9, and then 5 go home (one in each of the 5 episodes), leaving 4 to go to the finale. I bet we get to vote again to make the 3 finalists. Am I thinking right?

And yes, I believe there are 8 weeks between.

I wish they would tell us why some contestants dont particpate in the challenge.
Why were Laura and Kristin sitting out the car pulling challenge?
They did even show Laura during part 1 when they were dividing out their weight to other players.

I was kind of mad that Mike put his weight on Tara? The Bob players were sticking together and I think the Jillian players should have as well.

I was surprised that Ron and Mike voted to keep Filipe. Ron is so concerned about his son winning, it would have made more sense to get rid of the bigger threat to his son. They are going to have to get rid of them sometime.

Go Tara! She rocks!

How much more weight do you think Filipe can lose?? I do not think very much - he is bigger built man and all he can add now is more muscle.

Aubrey still has weight to lose - so I think they made the right decision in regards to who will not be losing a lot weight in the next few weeks.

I agreee with everything you said!!

I willl add that the giggling by EVERYONE doing the weight loading was childish.

Childish and mean. And then they didn't get why Tara was upset? Sheesh!

If they had just put the weight on there and not giggled, I don't think it would have bothered her so much...but I'm glad she put all her anger into pulling that car and won. :)
