Does anyone else have the feeling that Ron won't keep the weight off or will just stay at the point he is now?

I know most contestants gain some weight back - after all they lose all they can to win the prize, but it isn't necessary the "right" weight for their bodies. I just get the feeling that Ron did this for Mike and won't actually stick with it after the finale. When he and Mike had that "talk" on the ranch where Mike asked him why he weighed so much and why did didn't keep him and Max from getting so big, Ron seemed to be agreeing with Mike just to end the discussion and not really accepting his part in it.

I just haven't seen the emotion from Ron concerning weight loss that you see with others. Yeah, he shows his pride for Mike.... but I just haven't seen him "get it" like others.

I agree with this, plus his knees are shot. I don't think he will continue to endure the pain, to lose weight, and probably wouldn't be a candidate for knee replacements given that he has such blood pressure issues. He has had a lot of chances to lose before. More opportunities than most, and has not been able to do it.

Funny that you said that. I talk to Heba today and she said the same thing. However, it's NBC that will make the finial decision on who they want to win. They edit the show so much it's crazy in the end. She leaves Sunday for BL finials. They will start a new season the next day (Wednesday). She told me that they can move those fat people in and send them out skinny fast! She's trying to find a grocery store chain that will work with her on her kid snack program. She has gained some weight back. The night of the finials she was a size 6/8 and she's now in a size 12. She is a tall person and I think she looks better at a size 12, she was too thin before. Heba and Ed has been trying to help Daniel but with his age and not having good support he's still big and you will see that Tuesday night. But they started working with him late and hope that maybe NBC would give him another try with Mike's brother.

Who is "they"? We heard Jillian may/may not be back. Any word on that? Also, more updates if you're allowed. what "kid snack program"? And any other behind the scenes info you can share.

I wish they would spend less time on product placement and more time showing people how to eat properly. Yes, you can eat Subway as a better fast food then McDonalds but you cannot do that 7 days a week. I wish they had more of a WW type segment showing them how to eat home, bring brown bag lunches and still get in healthy guidlines. I think so many of them gain weight again because why they have learned to exercise they haven't learned to eat properly in a real life setting.

It is really sad because there is so much more they could do with this show to really push home proper nutrition and exercise. It *could* be a great show but they prefer to focus on the ridiculous instead.

Didn't Ed win the home prize last season? I'm just curious how they spent the money. If she gained some of the weight back, she obviously didn't spend it on trainers, etc. Dd they take a big vacation, move, or anything "big"?

Ed did not win the home prize , America voted for him to be in the final three. Heba won the home prize.

If America would have let her go in the final three she would have won that prize and Ed would have took home prize. But of course that didn't happen because we didn't want Heba to win the big prize even though Ed pleaded for us to do that.

Interesting to hear that they are starting right after this one ends. That means we won't get a new one for awhile because they film for months before they air. Soon won't have anything to watch after this month.

Last season was my first time watching. The only reason I did then is because Phil & Amy live near my town, now I'm hooked!

Jillian has confirmed on her website that she is back for the next two years. Yea!

Actually, if America had voted for Heba to be in the finals Amy S. would have won the "at home" prize. Ed lost 41.49% while Amy S. lost 45.85%. (Phil and Amy C. also lost more than Ed.)

Wow. She was a plus size model at 13?!? I had no clue there was a market for 13-year old plus-size models. Or ... do they just start training them at 13?
