Has anyone eaten at this? Is the food good? Is there any entertainment or costumed characters that visit? In other words, is it worth the money?

We have eaten there and yeah, its a bit pricey but if you like BBQ it is worth it. You get as much as you want of anything you want and it is very good.

My daughters loved the little rings they cut the corn on the cobb into.

Also they do a bit of a country ho-down type show but I have not seen many chars in there.

We dont eat there every day but its deffinately worth trying in my view.

We don't feel it's pricey, it's all you can eat and we ate a LOT. LOL We don't do this with the kids, when DBF and I have this the girls usually go to the Golden Horseshoe and then they go to Pirate Island (of course PI will be unavailable from today-May or June sometime) while we eat and eat and eat. LOL We tend to go for lunch, we get ribs & chicken (dinner adds sausage), beans, coleslaw, corn bread (dinner adds corn on the cob cut into smaller "wheel" sizes) and it's $24.99 for 10 and up, drinks and desserts are not included. Dinner is $29.99 and does not include drinks or desserts. They have a guitar player who interacts with the kids/families and sings and plays guitar, they have Miss Chris (who owns the BBQ/Ranch) and they have a piano player who plays piano and sings. For us it's very much worth it, DBF and I are able to eat 2 or 3 servings of each item and we leave stuffed (for me it's the only meal of my day, I will snack later but not eat a full meal), the food is delish and it's plentiful. :)

The ribs are wonderful and I THINK they let you take any uneaten food with you. I was so mad I didn't because I thought they wouldn't let me, but my friend said you could. I really wish I had it would have made great dinner leftovers. I had lunch. The kids were like $10 and it included a drink! Not bad. Adults for lunch were about double that + the AP discount. I feel it was totally worth it. It was very relaxing and the older guy playing the guitar was very personable. I would go back but we only did lunch so I can't comment on dinner or if it's different that the lunch menu

Oh yes, you can take leftover with you!! :) We've done that twice.
