What exactly does the "show" entail? Is this something my 2 and 4 year boys can participate in?

I would also just like to say your pictures are adorable! You two are super cute!!!

When we were there our kids from 4 to 13 participated. The first was a lone guitarist that roamed the floor, asking questions of the kids and then singing about it...ie where are you from...it was pretty funny.
The second was part of a stage show, and they again called kids up to help...great fun and great change of pace.

Can you go there just for dessert? My kids are picky eaters, so while the main course is hit and miss for us, this looks good:

Yes, you can go there just for dessert, or at least that's what DBF and I were informed when we went. We told them we'd like to come back to try some of their dessert because we were so darn full after our meal.

Why not at your 2 month mark? I am calling every day as the 2 month mark (not 60 days as is written in some places) walks through my vacation.

I hear you. After a buffet meal, who has room for $9 dessert? We will definitely try to stop by for dessert one day. With Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain both shutdown for the duration of our trip, I have a feeling the Big Thunder Ranch Barbeque will have plenty of availability for walk-ins.

Yes, we had butter that came with our cornbread. It was still on the hard side, but I'm sure warm corn on the cob will soften it right up

Yes, as a PP said there is a guitarist wandering around playing and singing, he will wander by your table and if your family looks interested he will interact. Then he takes a break and Miss Chris comes out with a piano player, they will play and sing for a while and then there will be a small break from entertainment before the guitar player returns. They will interact with you as much as you allow them to.

Well, we were told no, that you couldn't just order dessert. That's why DBF and I never really do that, but now that we've had it we will probably let the girls eat where they want, DBF and I will eat at the BBQ and then we can have the kids meet us at the BBQ for the exact dessert you posted. LOL They are OK with the kids meeting us there because the desserts are not included in the meal price. Of course, you may get a different answer from a different CM, it always varies based on who you ask.

We made sure to save room but we were also celebrating a birthday so that was part of it.

they bring rounds of butter to your table with your meal, if you need more just ask.

(you only have to ask) It came with some veggies too, it was pretty good but the beans, corn, cornbread and chicken were my favorite.

We are back to DL next week and it's just 3 of us but I did make dinner reservations to be around the time of the dinner show.

The tofu comes on a skewer with veggies. The cole slaw is a side dish.

We just ate there on Wednesday and it was delish as always! The current price is $26.95 for adults which our server informed us is actually cheaper than before because drinks which used to cost $3.49 are now included in the price (and you get free refills). Kids are $11.95. We didn't make reservations and only waited about 5 minutes at 6:30pm for a party of 6. Surprisingly they didn't have any entertainment at the time.

There is melted butter in the bottom of the corn bowl that we rolled our corn in. The cole slaw is great because its not mayonnaisey.
I thought the corn bread was a little too sweet this time.

Our waiter offered hot coffee or tea to go because it was a little chilly out.

I'm not a huge fan of slaw either, but I love the slaw at the BBQ and can eat 2 bowls alone! LOL It is seriously good, not mayo based at all, it has a vinegar based dressing. Even if you don't like slaw you should try it, you may be surprised, as I was.
