I have a question maybe somebody can answer for me. My kids call me a big chicken because I hate rides with drops. I don't mind spinning or fast rides. I'm wondering if the drops on this ride are manageable for some like me. Thanks in advance.

BTMR doesn't have big drops. I hate roller coasters, especially the big drops, and I loved this ride. Lots of turns and dips.

You'll never know unless you try. I hate roller coasters but I love BTMRR. I don't think there are any big drops but of course that's just my opinion. I think you'll probably like it.

My DH hates roller coasters, but once I finally convinced him to ride BTMRR, he didn't want to stop! It's now one of his very favorite rides in all of the parks. It's really not much at all like a traditional coaster, I think you should give it a try. Chances are you'll be in line to ride it again and again!

I'm not a roller coaster fan either, but I thought BTMR was fun! There are some drops but they are very, very small. Ask the CM if you can sit in the very front of the train ... I find the front slower than the rest of the train.

BTMRR is the only coaster I ever ride . . . all the others make me queasy, but this one is great.

I have even found that I can request the front seat if I'm willing to wait for the next train. I simply tell the attendant I have a problem with motion sickness and have never been turned down. The dips are small and quick, but they're easier to take in the front because you're partway down before the rear of the coaster comes flying over the hill.

Try this at least once . . . I think you'll be as surprised as I was!!

Another poster who agrees, I am not a big coaster person and this ride is fine for me. Give it a shot.

As far as coasters are concerned. BTMRR is pretty tame. It almost doesn't fit into the roller coaster category for me. Although it can get a little rough. You get jerked around alot in the back. Sitting up front helps smooth it out a bit. It's really a fun ride with great theming. Try it, I think you'll be fine.:D

Absolutely agree with the others! Give it a try - even my DD, 7, who HATES heights and hills LOVED this ride and begged to go again and again! It is fast and swirvy, but no big hills at all. DO sit up front - there is a definite slowdown there...a big complaint of my older daughter!! Have fun!!

This is my DS (7) favorite he still asks to do it again. He does not like any of the scarier rides and refused to do several. I'd say try it - it's a lot of fun with no big drops or anything.

I don't go on rides with big drops either. BTMRR is made of dips and turns. I love this ride. I think you would enjoy it.

Nomar5, I cannot do big drops at all. I did Splash Mountain once, just because I wanted to be able to say I did it. But other than that, I can't do drops! I love BTMRR though. My kids say you can't call it a roller coaster, because it isn't fast enough for them and no upside down turns, but to me it is one. The drops aren't bad at all. Just a lot of turns, with some ups and downs. To me it is fast enough. I agree with riding in the front. In May, we were the first seats, and I thought it was much tamer than seats towards the middle or back. Give it a try.

I take it you are a Red Sox fan!!!!! Or at least a Nomar fan. Are you from the east coast?

I was not a coaster rider either, DH bugged me 'till I got on...then he PROPOSED during the ride! Maybe he thought since I was so focused on the ride I may not think clearly for my answer:p Anyway, I love this ride, and most any other coasters now. When I was younger(under 25) I could ride all the spinny rides no prob, and freaked at the coasters, now I get Motion sickness on the spinny ones and LOVE the coasters! Go for it! You won't regret it. It is a bit rattle-ish tho, not smooth like the types where your feet hang in the air, so just be prepared for the vibration and noise that go along with the fun!

It's one of the most fun attractions at WDW. Please give it a shot.
There are lots of fun things to look for on the ride:D

DW wife does not do drops and will do BTMRR. She has ridden SM only once and says not sure if she will do again because of the drop.

I SAY GO FOR IT!!!

Thanks everybody for the advice. I'll give it a try, sounds like fun. And yes sarahj, I am a Redsox and and from the east coast. I'm from CT also...Southeastern Ct.

Nomar5, we are huge Red Sox fans in our house also. We are more in the middle of the state, about 20 minutes south of Hartford, just off 84.

Have a great trip!!

I do not like roller coasters at all! My kids begged me to try this ride and I LOVED it!
