I just have to post this because since Christmas, Iger has never ceased to amaze me. It started with the Disney Christmas Parade this year, which was absolutely 100 times better than last year. Next came his amazing recovery with Pixar and Steve Jobs. He not only healed the relationship between them, from all accounts, but bought Pixar in the process. Next he works a deal between Disney's ABC radio stations and Citadel broadcasting, which made the new company the 3rd largest radio company around. Then the other day, he gets back the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (a Walt Disney creation that was taken away by Universal back in the 20's) as part of a deal involving Al michael's going to NBC. The guy is moving at lightspeed it seems but every move he makes is brilliant. The upcoming era of Disney looks incredibly bright with this guy in the lead. So thank you Bob Iger for all you've already done and here's hoping the rest of the story is just as good. Walt would be proud.

I absolutely 100% agree! I, too, have been very impressed with Bob Iger! From the brilliant acquisition of Pixar to bringing Oswald back into the Disney fold - my hat is off to him. Not only has he moved with lightning speed, I believe every decision he has made would have gotten the approval of Walt himself and this thought does my heart good!! I am looking forward to greater things to come for DIS and to FINALLY adding DIS stock to our portfolio!!!!

He's sure a top-notch executive, and seems to be fostering the company for lots of success for years to come.

totally agree with your comments on Mr Iger. He also was great with Roy Disney. The Disney family must be very pleased. :thumbsup2

He's doing a great job. I really enjoyed reading the annual report last week, lots of good stuff.

I agreecompletly. By bringing Oswald rabbit back to Disney he has shown how much he really cares about WAlt and the history of Disney.

Yes and with bringing back Oswald and Pixar it shows he's interested in moving Disney forward without sacificing the past.

I admit I was very worried about Iger coming on board since it looked like he was pretty much hand-picked by Eisner. I'm thrilled to see that perhaps those worries were for naught. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 He certainly seems to be the right person to move Disney into the future while not forgetting the past. The Disney family must be very pleased.

I also agree with everything mentioned so far, but there is one other thing that may actually have a greater impact on Disney's and Iger's future. Based on articles I read, it seems like alot of the companies that Disney does business with are way more comfortable with Iger in charge than they were with Eisner. This more than anything else, I think, will help open up opportunities for disney in the future.

Thanks to Bob Iger and keep the vision...
