While I get your point, really I do, I don't think it really applies here. Most of us who booked for January did so with some understanding that offseason means more refurbs. However, every single one of my 6 trips to WDW has been in a value season, including one previous January trip, and it has NEVER happened that there were multiple headliners down at the same time, or multiple tarped-off buildings on Main Street, or multiple evening shows dark simultaneously. This year has all of the above, plus the ongoing Fantasyland construction and now the construction on Peter Pan's new queue as well, and the vast majority of it was announced well after the point where cancellation or rescheduling ceased to be a practical/cost effective option.
So yeah, I'm going to vent about it a bit. It won't ruin our trip but it is very frustrating to go when there are so many construction projects going on simultaneously, and I do wish Disney had split things up a little better. There are other value & regular seasons, you know... It doesn't ALL have to be done in the 6 weeks between the Christmas/New Year and Presidents Day peaks!
