I've been trying to avoid discussion of clues because the novelty wore off a while ago. However...I had to look. And when I look at that picture what I thought was "flew" (because of the bird) "off the handle" because it's starting to break off. I know that's a long shot, and I can't think of what that would mean, but that was my first reaction.

Only because my original guess was a west coast race do I submit the following:

Crackpot --> what's the biggest crackpot theory in all of Disney lore?
Walt Disney is cryogenically frozen, buried under PoTC, in Disneyland.

So, pirate-themed race, in DL. Obvious, isn't it?

Hopefully we'll be getting a new clue today! I have a feeling they have it set for auto-publish at 4:29pm EST, so I'll start checking around then.

I keep wanting to just say "forget it" and check back in after the announcement is made, but I have no willpower, lol.

I was originally thinking a race in the coldest and hottest month but that would be January and August so I don't think that's it. They already have a race in January and the combination of peak season and FL weather make me doubt even a night time race in August. I really have no idea.

I was thinking "The thing that is cold is also hot" (because the reflection of coldest is hottest). But, again, that does nothing for me as far as figuring out a race.

And if you get stuck, don’t worry, just invite your friends and work together in the comments with your fellow runDisney fans.

So now, the trek thing makes me think of Animal Kingdom and the Coldest/Hottest thing makes me think of Expedition Everest.

These clues are all over the place and we still have 6 left. Oy!

And before this clue I felt sure it was going to revolve around Fantasyland.

I know that people really like the idea of running in the MK and that people were disappointed to learn that the Wine & Dine course has changed and now goes through AK instead of MK. At least that's what I read on twitter.
I wonder if the change has anytjing to do with this new event?
