Big runDisney announcement coming in April

Leah Thorvilson wore a modified Tinkerbell costume for the Disney marathon this year. She won the women's division. Running is her job (she's trying for a spot in the Olympics). In a recent article in our local paper, she said she loves wearing costumes and glad she could at the Disney race.

Personally, I love the costumes! I haven't worn one yet but I like seeing what people come up with. It just makes the race more fun for me. As Amy indicated, as long as they don't interefere with what I do, I'm OK with them.

I can see having a back to back weekend with Princess and another race. It would make economical sense for Disney to do something like this. When will the new Fantasyland section open? I wonder if the announcement will tie the Princess (and that new Fantasyland section) in with another race of sorts. I just hope it's not on the weekend of March 2-4 next year. When does the next clue come out?

...but at the same time I think you have to respect that people ARE trying to PR! As evidenced at the National this weekend, Disney does organized races like few organizations in the country.

Absolutely...I respect all. Costume loving or not! End of story.
Any more clues?

And I thought this thread was about the rundisney announcement? :confused3

Perhaps a new thread so you can debate what to wear or a new thread on guess on the the rundinsey clues?

If they'd post them more than every other day it would help.

Or better yet, just tell us since it seems like more and more people are getting tired of their little game.

The runDisney clues are few, far between, and don't make sense. Forgive us for chatting :)

The last post I see is the foam roller one so I'm not seeing it.

I had to go back to the clue post.

Ah, got it now.

I have no idea. I'm sure there will be someone who says its Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast and turn it into a race in Paris through Belle's castle but I think that is less likely than me leaning to levitate in the next hour.

It is so vague that I have no more of an idea than I did yesterday but it does seem to keep with the France theme people are talking about. Now I just have to figure out how that ties in with a new race at WDW. I'm going to continue holding out hope for it referring to France on the WS and another Epcot race though I really don't have any actual idea.

Is the bird in the clue Soarin'...over California? The teapot referencing Beauty and the Beast seems too obvious given how obscure the clues have been, but I can't think of what else the teapot could mean.

Alice in Wonderland had a tea party. I see the tea kettle from the tea cup ride moreso than Mrs. Potts.

I wonder what the significance of the mouth on the opposite side on the tea pot is supposed to be.

Maybe it's that bird from EE that's been broken off and on for the last couple of years....it has a new home in the clue!! :lmao:

Yeah, Soarin' came to mind. Or maybe one of the little songbirds from Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or Bambi?
For the teapot: Beauty and the Beast or Alice in Wonderland.

It does almost seem like an optical illusion, like the goblet that's really two faces? If you put a piece of paper over half of the image it looks like the left side could almost be Chip.

...and then that makes the right side look like Dumbo. Someone just posted that as a comment on Facebook...I didn't come up with that one on my own ;) Still, can't figure out what the link is between those 2 characters and a bird.
