Does anyone know the range of room numbers for the GV rooms closest to the main building? 1st floor preferable. Or a link to where I can find them? We're traveling with some older 1st timers, and although they don't require special assistance, we'd like to make the journey back to the room a little easier for them at the end of the day. Thanks to all who reply.

I think we had the worse possible GF room on our last trip. 1st floor Big Pine Key, room # 9124. Not only was the full view of the back of the pool building, there was a large metal pipe (gas or water I'm guessing) sticking straight up in front of our patio!

The rooms further down, towards the lagoon, had a much nicer view.

We had a Lodge Tower room (#9214) with the same view.. back of the pool building. Plus, it was right above the Housekeeping area where they bring all the dirty linens. So, when we sat on our balcony, that's what we saw all day. I think this location is probably the worst of the "Garden" views anywhere at the resort.

tomu570 - Big Pine Key is building #9, and if you have a first floor room, that would be room #91XX. Can't remember whether it is the lower or higher numbers that are closer to the main building?

Rather than request a specific room number, I would put on my reservation that I preferred a room in Big Pine Key, close to the main building due to mobility issues. When you check in, you can explain it again to the CM, and hopefully they'll accommodate you.

You are not guaranteed your request, either way, and giving a more general description of what you want, and why, gives the room assignor more to work with when blocking your room. If you requested room XXXX, and that room is unavailable, the room assignor would not know why you wanted that particular room, and couldn't then put you in a similar room, if you see what I mean?
