Big News!

Good luck and best wishes.

Hey, my DD13 also is a sleeper, she's ok during the week but on weekends would surely sleep till late afternoon if left up to her !! We have already had the discussion about getting up early during the holiday and any problems will mean a child free holiday next time! ;)

Thank you so much everyone  It all feels so surreal! This past week I've been feeling soooo nervous about it but have thankfully been busy today that I'm feeling okay about it...no doubt the nerves will return in the morning!

Best wishes for tomorrow Snickals. No advice on inductions (not that it would help anyway as each birth/body/mum is different), but just trust in your body. I had the syntocin drip with DS1 after going into spontaneously and needed Pethadine. My other two were natural and I found that listening to my body really helped.

You'll be holding that baby of yours before you know it :)

Hi Snickals - will be thinking of you tommorrow - Good Luck
Go with the flow and don't be afraid of asking for drugs "Go Epi" !!
Best Wishes and can't wait to hear and see a photo of little DD :cutie:

Better late than never-just catching up. Hope it all went well and by now you are relaxing at home with your new little one-enjoy the moments while she is still so little-just sitting quietly feeding my daughter was always the best time in those early weeks.

Thought I'd pop in to say a quick hello...don't get much computer time lately with the newborn!
I had an adventure and a half at the hospital to say the least! I went in Monday to be induced, I had contractions start later that day but no dilating so Tuesday they tried a different induction approach which was very painful. Contractions were coming in very painful themselves still but again no dilating...so it was then decided on Wednesday to leave me alone that day and see if anything happend. It didn't, so Thursday I had an emergancy c-section. C-section went really well and my little girl was born at 11.47am, 25 August. Everything was great until that night when I had a pulmonary edema attack (had bad preeclampsia Drs ignored throughout pregnancy) and was unconscious in the ICU for the next 3 days :( Obviously I woke up though and a few days later was discharged...hated the hospital I was at and the staff there were horrible (like telling me to get up and walk to the bathroom myself the first night I'm returned to maternity after being ICU and not walking for days...and taking an average of 30mins to come whenever I buzzed them) so I am very happy to be home!!! Unfortunately I need to get some tests done for my heart now, have to see my GP weekly from now on, have no energy for anything...but I am very blessed to have one beautiful, healthy little girl <3 Just need to get better now to fully look after her myself (am not allowed to drive for 6 weeks or carry anything other than her...thankfully I have an amazing partner, family and friends)

I used to type with my left hand as I nursed DD in my right!

I'm glad to hear you have a healthy baby girl. I hope you're feeling better now and am very glad you have a wonderful support system. The six weeks without driving forces you to rest as much as possible.

:grouphug: I'm sorry for the terrible experience you had. I totally understand, different health matters and terrible times with nursing and medical staff - a dreadful time with important issues missed.

Oh my goodness Snickals, you poor thing! I am so sorry you have had to go through so much hardship to get your darling little girl. However, congratulations on her arrival and I hope the joy she brings to your life makes it all worthwhile :grouphug:

Snickals - I'm so glad you posted. I was wondering how you were doing and if you had a safe delivery.

Congratulations on the safe arrival of you beautiful little girl.

I am very sorry to read that you have had a rough time. I hope that your tests come back all clear and that you have a speedy and full recovery.

Just keep remembering that you have to get better to look after her; and that it's okay to rely on your amazing family and friends.

Keep in touch.
