Big kids, what do you want for Christmas!!

I'm just hoping that my husband will be able to have Christmas Eve off. It would be awesome if he had several days between Christmas and New Year's off, too, but Christmas Eve off would be the best thing ever for me.

I'm not asking for anything as far as gifts go. I'm just looking forward to all the holiday things (decorating, shopping, baking, music..)

this is me. i honestly don't care if i get anything or not, and whenever anyone asks me what i want, i usually say nothing. i have a beautiful home, a car to drive (very important in the boonies), food to eat, and a wonderful husband and daughter. i really don't need anything else.

I want the new Shel Silverstein book - "Everything on It". Looks like another great book that his family put together from unreleased poems.

I could get in for my boys, but in reality it's me that wants it really bad.

I just saw that this was released and at 28, want it for myself too. I had his other books when I was a kid but don't know what happened to them. I just may have to buy them for my son so I can reread them.

Dh wants an annual fishing pass and a gc to buy related stuff.
I'm not sure what I want, maybe the disney theme park monopoly and some shoes?

We are spending Christmas at Disney so I don't feel like I should want anything else. But if Santa Mickey puts that Disney Anniversary Dooney purse under the tree, that would be awesome.

I would say a trip to Disney but as we are going in February, how about the funds to be able to stay at AKL rather than the value we have booked :santa:

Dream list:
A positive pregnancy test......PLEASE!!!!!! (even though I'm trying to be okay with not having anymore, I secretly wish it would happen after all these years of IVF and surgeries).
An all expense paid vacation back to Disney World to see the Christmas lights, we are heading out for our September trip in just a few days so bouncing back in December isn't feasible.

Reality list:
Some nice Corningware dishes I saw at Costco
New digital camera
New computer
perfume that doesn't give me a headache

I've got my fingers crossed for your first wish.

I saw a cute idea that could be used as a Christmas gift or Wedding gift. I am going to try and do this with my husband this year.

Pre-plan and pre pay for dates for an entire year, one date per month. Every month you would pull out that envelope and plan what day you are going to go on your date. You go ahead and buy as many tickets or gift cards as you can so all you have to do is pick a day and go!

New cover for my NookColor
gift cards for any: (pedicures, Sephora, Macys, Barnes and Nobles)

My DH wants Lord of the Rings on Blu Ray.....can't believe I'll have to sit through those movies again! Oh well, it's something he enjoys! :cloud9:

Christmas gifts will be kept to a minimum this year since we're going to WDW in December. But we'll do a few gifts per person and maybe one or two things for each stocking. :santa:

ipad2 but my laptop is only a year old and it is really Nice! I am really just happy to have what I have - I am thankful for God's blessings.

ohhh well i was just thinking how i would like a really good drying rack. i saw one in a magazine that has slats that pop out so you just hang over and slide in place with bars on the ends for up to 50 hangers! it was real swell but at $70 i could not bring myself to buy it just b/c.

also a sideboard for my diningroom to store china/glasswear and a couch are on my list. for myself i really want new bedroom furniture, some big girl things, but that will have to wait for like a tax refund or bonus.

also maybe a pair of shoes or two.

and if santa won the lottery a disney cruise would be nice....

i like the pre-paid date idea for a couple. you also get those nifty xmas gift card bonuses at many places so its a two for one. i know some are small like $10 with $50 and expire, but still, you could just pick up an appetizer one night to go as a treat.

I want a programmable crock pot and a good set of knives. I'd also like a North Face Denali hoodie, but I probably won't ask for it. It was on my list last year and DH bought me one w/o a hood. I don't want to hurt his feelings that I'd still like the hood.

Sometimes guys just don't get it. My ex used to say I was hard to buy for. All I asked for was 2 piece flannel pj's. I got one piece flannel pj's one year, two piece fleece pj's another year and one time for valentines day, I got a super thick pair of fleece pj's. (I must say the lady at La Senza thought he was cracked getting his wife these for valentine's day but he told her I had just given birth a few weeks prior and wouldn't thank him for anything else! :rotfl:)

Anyway, being with him for 11 years I never did get my 2 piece flannel pj's and he still thinks I'm hard to buy for. :confused3

What I'd like... I'd like my kids to do as they are told the first time for a whole day and no fighting just for once.

I'd also like a tool storage kit (one of the nice red ones) for the messy pile of tools I have in the basement that I can never find what I'm looking for when the bathroom tap is dripping or I need to tighten the screw in something.

Lot's of other things but I'll settle for winning the lottery. :thumbsup2

I want the Vera Bradley Grand Weekender Tote, which is what I think my mom will get me. I need to think of something for DH to get me, but I can't think of anything that I really want or need, so :confused3 I'm thinking that maybe I can find a great pair of shoes or boots!

I would love to go to Disney to see the decorations...but this Christmas I won't be able to ride any rides! We got some exciting news today that prevents me from riding roller coasters...

So this year, a healthy year would be great, and stuff to make our newest family member welcome in the spring.

My original list included a GPS and an eReader but now I'm leading toward a tablet but I'm not willing to spend (or let anyone spend) the amount for an Ipad.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hug: That is the best gift ever:goodvibes

As for me. I have no idea. One thing I realized though is that nobody actually appreciates it when I say "Oh I don't really want anything" because they still get me something and want ideas.

So, I think I will ask for new jammies, maybe some gift cards for Chapters because I can use them on my e-reader. Little things that make me happy:)

For my wish list (and i know I won't receive it) is a new Michael Kors purse I keep seeing advertised!! But cannot justify the cost of it :headache:

I do want some new makeup brushes and cleaner from MAC, and even though I bout the HP touchpad, would definately love to have the ipad! There is such a huge difference in them!

My mom took over the touchpad. Should've gotten her that for christmas instead of the kindle that I have hidden for her:headache:

Oh well. Glad to see this thread because it definately gives some good gift ideas as well!!
