Big difference in wk of 5/12 vs 6/1?

In terms of crowds and weather? If I wait until 6/1 my kids will be out of school and it may be a tad warmer for the pool but shorter lines is important too.

Early May will probably be busy, but probably not packed. The week of 6/1 you are coming off of the Memorial Day holiday, schools getting out, graduations, and it will probably be super busy.

Early May mid week mid month is a great time to go. I went last year Mother's day week Mon-Wed I and it was beautiful. Perfect weather very low crowds. After Memorial day things will pick up.

We almost always go the first week of June and it is not super busy. Schools are still in for the most part and if you avoid Memorial day weekend itself it won't be an issue. October was WAY more crowded for us then early June was.

May is also a good time to go though as far as crowds go. It's after all the spring break crowds. So I would think you'd be happy with either of those.

We are going to be at DL 5/10-5/14 and I'm hoping for GREAT weather and smaller crowds. We have family that have gon this sametime for a few years and they have always said the crowds were mininal.
