Big Boy Restaurant... YUCK!

BB's i've been in are just like OP described and the one in my old town even got closed by Health Dept.

After what I saw last summer in Cherokee, NC, that Big Boys should have been closed down as well. The place was virtually empty, but as we started walking through the dining area, I figured they must have just had a rush and was getting ready to clean up. We walked past the buffet area to our seating area and I was appauled at the mess the bar area was. Food all over the floor. Looked like hogs had been dining right at the bar. There was not a clean table in the entire place and there was literally more food on the floor than on the tables. They sat us to a dirty table. I looked at my parents and told them I just could not eat there. The place was beyond filty and I could only imagine what the kitchen looked like. Did not even want to ponder if the staff washed hands after using bathroom. We left. Hope this place is no longer in business.

We have Big Boy restaurants all over Michigan. Some are good, some are bad. I have heard that some of them are privately owned and operated and some are owned and operated by "the corporation".

The privately owned places were always much better.

We're from Cincinnati too, and though the service is hit or miss, and the french fries aren't always hot, we love Frisch's (Big Boy). Vanilla Coke!!! :thumbsup2
