We ate here Aug 3,2009 for dinner with a 6ish ADR.
I was a little hesitant because I am NOT a fan of sausage, and the like but I was pleasantly surprised. The entertainment was EXTREMELY enjoyable. I am not German but I grew a deep respect for the entertainers as they were very talented! My husband is German and I wanted my kids to see the culture. They had a great time!
The food was really good even though I went in not expecting to eat much. We were seated upfront right next to the stage.
We were the first to sit at the table and had a lovely family of 3 from New Orleans sit with us! My DS(7) had a blast talking sports with thier father.
I managed to fill three kid's bellies. At first DS(7) ate only an apple and then went back up to "try new things" as we encourage with our kids to try at each meal, especially in WDW! He ended up going up for thirds! My DH was in his glory as German food is one of his favorites.
The setting was nice, a little on the dark side, but pleasant, like sitting outside on a pleasant evening...such a break from the BRIGHT FLORIDA SUN
.
By the end of the meal, I got a plate with each dessert and we each had a sliver to divide among the 5 of us to "try something new". That was fun and then the one that was your fav we could go back up and get 1 of them. The kids really liked this part
My DH really liked the gallon of beer that he got
adn the one that followed too!
We really enjoyed this dining experience! If you haven't yet, you've got to try it and be ready to be entertained by the talent! I loved the ringing of the bells, my kids liked the wooden xylophone!
