Do they put on a show there at the resturant???
how is the food I was thinking of booking here instead
of chefs le france???

They have an oompa band that performs once an hour. They do a couple songs on their own, a couple that you can sing along to and a couple that you can get up and dance to. It's fun, especially if you have little kids in your group.

I enjoy the food, but I'm used to eating German cuisine. If you're not a fan of traditionally German food you may not love this restaurant.

That sounds like fun! :thumbsup2

This is one of our favorite places to eat! Everyone in my family loves it and I have a 3yo! The food really isn't strange. It's basically German comfort food. There is roast pork(which is great on top of spaetzle covered in either the apricot chutney or the red wine gravy), chicken schnitzel(nothing more than chicken fried chicken), roasted potatoes, sauerkraut, sausages(hot and cold), chicken noodle soup( I THINK i's made with the spaetzle), roast chicken, etc. The desserts are very normal...apple strudel with vanilla sauce, black forest cake, cheesecake, cookies, apples, etc.
I just looked on the menu on allearsnet and it lists pork schnitzel, but it's always been the chicken when we went.

The sho is very entertaining and silly at times. There is a small dance floor and you'll always see at least one or two couples up there dancing to the German music. The kids love to go down and dance also. I highly recommend you try it at least once! There's something for everyone...and yes, there is stuff for the kids to eat, but my youngest loves all the other stuff too. :goodvibes

We found this resturant to be surprisingly fun! We made this ADR last trip because we couldn't find availability at any of our other favorites so we thought no harm in trying something new. It was just a blast! Our kids loved the band and dancing. The other people we sat with were fun to talk to and the atmosphere was great. Not a fan of german food but I found a few things I liked just fine. DH loved the food. We are going again in Sep! :)

We had a great time here!! The kids were so apprehensive but once we got there they realized the food was varied and delicious!!

I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

This is one of our favorites. The first reservations we make are to Chef Mickeys and Biergarten. My husband lived in Germany as a child and this is the closest we get to him going back... for now. :rotfl:

I made ressies for dd11 and myself @ 1pm for trip in August.(Lunch starts at 12:30 daily) I want to see the performers , one of the main reasons I booked there!!! What are my chances of missing the live band ? Thanks:thumbsup2

hmm, I asked for the earliest time and they booked me for 12noon...:confused3

Sorry, I checked allearsnet.com and it did state they open at 12 noon.:) I do hope we have a time booked that the musicians are playing ....anyone sure of the times? Thanks:thumbsup2

Food is great, great show, lots of fun.

Chefs and Biergarten are favorites for our family, have been for years!

I can't wait to eat here. This will be our first time this August for this rest. I am excited!!!:cool1:

They perform every hour. As long as you plan a relaxed lunch - after all it's cool inside - then you'll see them.

We loved it. I enjoyed the food which reminded me of living in Germany. Kids enjoyed the food and doing the chicken dance. I got a full mass - liter - of great beer and DW got a Radler - her favorite drink from our time in Europe. It's beer and lemonade - don't give me that look! Actually pretty good, and it's a traditional woman's drink there.

We are VERY picky eaters and it has been a long standing "joke" at our house that NO ONE LIKES IT BUT DH!!! We tolerate it and let him eat there BECAUSE he has the MONEY!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

BUTWhen I was making ADR's for September for a trip that 2 girlfriends and I are taking WITH THE KIDS. . . .WITHOUT the DHes:rolleyes1 . . . . WE ARE EATING THERE!!! Seems that we realy like it. . . .

And the cheesecake is "slap your Momma" GOOD!!!!!!!;)

Thanks ...and pehaps I should try a "Radler" , if you recommend it !!! Is it on the menu , if not I'll have to write it down so I won't forget what it's called !::MinnieMo

Radler is very common, but I am not a fan. I prefer the Rudesheimer Kaffee - an after dinner coffee made with Asbach Uralt ;)

At lunchtime, the first show usually doesn't start until 1:15pm or 1:30, so if you're eating at noon, you'll have to wait around a really long time for the show. That's hard to do at a buffet!!

We made that mistake a few times, but we've learned to make our reservations now for 1pm if we want to see the show.

It is well worth it! :thumbsup2
