Ok, I'm sure this has been asked before. I searched back a bit, but found nothing too recent on the pages.

We are traveling in a party of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids). Two of the kids are under the age of 2. Obviously they haven't become very adventurous yet with their dining choices.

We want to try this restaurant mainly for dear old Pa. He is of German descent and would love it. I have looked at a menu on a website and I don't see any typical "kid pleasers".

I don't like to fuss with my kids too much on vacation. If they are content eating chicken and hot dogs everyday, so be it.

If anyone knows whether there is an option to order chicken strips or a traditional American style hot dog, please post a reply here.

Thank you.:D

Honestly I can't remember what my son who was then 20 months old had to eat (he ate off the buffet - liked the sausages) but he LOVED this restaurant because of the live music and the atmosphere. I recommend trying to plan a PS when the live band is performing if you think your children will like that. The kids also can go down front to dance. We are definitely going back here!

The biergarden serves Chicken Schnitzel which is no more than breaded chicken breasts. If you cut them up into strips they won't be disappointed. My daughter loves chicken fingers and likes the chicken schnitzel at the biergarden. She also loves the brats.

Just make sure that you don't leave without trying the apple strudel w/ vanilla sauce.

There is plenty of variety there. I think they'll be able to find something. If not, CM's are usually very accomodating and I am sure they could get the kiddos something that they will like!

My boys (ages 3 1/2 and 15 mos. at the time) loved the pretzel bread, rice, chicken schnitzel and dessert. They also had apples and, I think, grapes that my guys filled up on. I also managed to pass off the spaetzel as 'noodles', my older DS's favorite.

Wow! This makes me feel so much better.

I read a recipe for the chicken and thought it sounded like "fried" chicken and therefore would work fine for them. All they need is one or two items and they can fill up on that.

Spaetzel is noodles? Like egg noodles maybe? Is there a sauce?

Pretzel bread should definetly be a hit and they'll eat rice as long as it's not too "different" looking. I guess I never thought of rice as a German food.

I'm mostly excited about the desserts, they sound wonderful. I've always wanted to eat here because of the atmosphere. Aren't there tables down close to the stage?

I'm assuming they probably have a salad bar with assorted fruits and cheeses? If so, that will also help for the kids.

Thanks for the responses. I think this decides it!::yes::
