Biergarten or Teppan Edo?

I have never eaten at Biergarten ut after reading reviews and actually eating at Teppan Edo I would pick Teppan Edo hands down. It is a must do every trip.

We were just there and ate at both restaurants for the first time. We enjoyed both very much ... but would choose Teppen Edo, definitely!

I've never been to Teppen Edo, but plan to hopefully on the next trip. I can say that Biergarten is fantastic! We've had it twice and my parents eat there every trip they make. It's "authentic" german food. By that, I mean it's German food with an American twist. It's very good though. A good selection of meats and side dishes, plenty of desserts (bavarian cheesecake is to die for!!!) and the live entertainment is what may set it aside from other restaurants.

The beer is fantastic as well. The only "drawback" could be the size of your party. They tend to sit groups of people together, so you could (if you have a small group) sit with another family and that family may be annoying. We've never had that problem, but I've read others on here who have... With that being said...that food is great, the entertainment is awesome, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're in Germany.

I'd say you can't go wrong with either one...

Since I can get amazing Hibachi food at home I would pick Biergarten...they have amazing food and entertainment

My hubby loves Biergarten. I love the room. It is a fun place to eat. And he says the food is great. I am not a fan of the food but I still go.

We visited Teppan Edo in Sept. for the first time. I am glad I went. The food is good but like pp stated you can get that food at home. I had issues with the way they set us and server does not come back to your table until the chef is completely finished-so no refills until later.

Try both, I don't think you will be disappointed.

We've never been to Teppan Edo but I always thought I could get that food at home like the PP stated. We ate at the Biergarten in 2006 and that is one of our ADR's for this trip. The food was good and the band kept the kids entertained. We had no problem sitting with another family at our table.

Biergarten is best around 5:30 to 7:30pm. Entertainment and food is the freshest. Teppan Edo might be best for lunch.

This is exactly what I am thinking.

Thank you everyone for your input. I have ADRs at Teppan Edo as of now. I never really paid much attention to Biergarten before researching it the other day. We are a family of 5 including 2 1/2 yr. old twins. They do fine at local Hibachi restaurants so that is not my concern. I just think the entertainment, music and atmosphere of Biergarten would be a unique experience for all of us. A restaurant with a little noise never hurts either
