Hey all! I have never been to Biergarten but always wanted to try it- mostly for the theming but also I love potato salad lol.

I talked my husband into an adults only trip so I feel like this will be right up his alley but now I’m having doubts.

I don’t like bratwurst or sausage type foods,or sauerkraut. Most of the sides look like foods I would eat.

I don’t know why this only JUST occurred to me but now that they can’t do a buffet I’m concerned we will be stuck with a bowl of beat and other meats I won’t eat. I would feel awful wasting it. For the price and considering I’m craving potato salad, isthis a bad plan?

It's your money. If you just want to eat sides, go for it, I guess.

Tell the CM what you like and don’t like. CM might be able to bring what you want to get your money’s worth. We were there for the first time last Saturday and my family really enjoyed it!

That was more what I was getting at, if you request the “main dish” be excluded and just extra side type things. Thanks!

Not sure what beats is (beets?) but they also have roast chicken, schnitzel ( probably breaded pork cutlets;might be chicken), and frikandellen (think Swedish meatballs) so if you eat that but not sausages, you’ll be fine.

How are they serving? Do you have the all the options that you had before, but that they just bring it to you?
I really hope they bring real buffets back soon.

Our family ate there in 2018, and it was great! I don't eat beef or pork, so I was a bit concerned about what I'd be able to eat, but there was plenty! They had some salmon dish that was awesome, and their spaetzle (noodles) was soooo good!

While planning in 2019 for our now postponed trip, this was my personal dining priority. So, I'm extremely curious how the dining experience is now, and how it is evolving.

Ate there in April…not up to date on if it’s changed but they serve everything family style (little bit of everything)…they told us anything you like just let us know we’ll bring you out more. Potato salad was exceptional. The show is fun.

I've not personally eaten at the Biergarten. But it is on my wish list and these responses have given me a better understanding of what to expect and what my food choices might be.

I ate there in June and don't care for bratwurst, sausage, etc., but my husband does. I still found plenty to eat. I liked the schnitzel and chicken besides the spaetzle and other sides. Just come hungry because even without the buffet, there is a ton of food!

One of my family's favorites - lots of variety, good beer and a show!

Its brought to you served family style. Its still all you can eat. I highly doubt they are still serving *all* of the options they had before, but the main ones are still present.

I'm not big on German food either but got by eating the sides and off the kids section. The current family style service is probably not conducive to picky eaters nor would it be a good value. However, if you're not fond of the communal seating aspect, I believe they are still doing one party per table which makes it a good time to try it.

Unfortunately, the salmon and dill sauce is not on the current menu. I agree it was delicious and made for a lighter main dish.

OP since you are hesitant about much of the menu, here's my 2c.
My family did not like it, despite my German heritage, and love an occasional Johnsonville brat on the grill. The show was kinda boring to us and they were on a break for much of our meal. Not our kind of music. We found the food to be heavy, fatty and lacking spice. The group we sat with kept to themselves. Overall, I am glad we tried it, but one and done for us.
