Biergarten Dh's Only Request

Of course you should book it! It's his only request & I'm sure you want him to enjoy himself. After all, it is his Vacation too. Besides, you'll want him to want to go back again, right? ;) I learned that the happier I make DH on vacations, the more vacations I get ;)

It's not my kind of food at all - Buffet, German, Meat, Heavy.... But, that said, 18 yo DS picked it as his must-do for our Mother's Day trip. It was fun. Just watching the kids dancing to the Oompah Band is a ball. I liked some of the salads & I loved that salami type sausage that cryssi mentioned. I did seconds on that too.

It gets even more fun after a stein of beer or a flight of Reisling ;)

This is a "must-do" for my DH too! It isn't so much the food as dancing with the kids and drinking a HUGE beer!

We went to eat there this past March and enjoyed it very much. We loved the atmosphere, 3 boys loved the show, and the food was pretty good. We would definitely go back!

I didn't try it on my trip to epcot because the food did not look authentic at all (I'm from Austria) and I talked to all the Germany CM's in German and they agreed that ot isn't very authentic and they all said to eat in Japan so we did. lol.

But yeah, even though the food isn't too authentic (I'm guessing the chef just couldn't find all the right ingredients) it sounds like the expirience is fun! I want to go now! I loved going to Oktoberfest in Muenchen as a child.

It's not bad. I am very much against "feeding troughs" (buffets), but DH really wanted to try it, so we did. The buffet price includes a soda, so that is nice. I am not a big meat eater, so I enjoyed all the sides. The mac & cheese was really good, and the desserts are wonderful!

Biergarten is my favorite!!! Last year I didn't get to eat there :( and I was so bummed!! The music is fun, and you can even do the chicken dance!

There is a lot of variety on the buffet. I took my step-mother there once, and she even liked it. She is TOTALLY not a buffet person. But she liked all of the buffets in Disney, go figure. So, even if you aren't a "buffet person", it seems to appeal. Have fun!!

My DH also loves Biergarten, it was pretty much his only request as well so we'll be going there one night for dinner. I think it's only fair since I picked the other eight restaurants, though I did run them by him and DS so that they would feel like part of the process. :rolleyes1

Biergarten was DH's favourite restaurant and he already says he wants to go there every trip. German food isn't my thing but I found enough to eat. I love the look of the restaurant and the entertainment was fun.

I haven't been to the Biergarten in forever. I went with a boyfriend several years ago, and although he was a die hard Disney fan, he really needed a little dose of "man stuff" after a few days and the BG seemed to do it for him. So, I say, like everyone else, bite the bullet and book it for him. You just might enjoy it, too. Only thing I really didn't like was sitting with other people, but that's me...

Have fun!!!!
