I kept going back and forth about BBB for my nearly 4 year old on our September trip. I finally decided today that we would do it - but unfortunately I waited too long and on our MK days, our choices were 6:20 and 6:40 (later is my preferred day). I didn't ask about DTD as I am not 100% sure we will make it there on this trip.

My concerns? 1) this will inevitably keep us from seeing Wishes and the Electric parade this night (and other MK night we have a 6:45 at Chef Mickeys). 2) it's so late - all that money spent to roam Disney in the dark and then go to bed and smash it all to pieces?

Anyone have anything positive about going at this hour? One positive is that while I know my little girl would enjoy it, she won't know she is missing it if we cancel. Also, anyone had any success with calling often and getting a cancellation? That is what the cast member suggested I do.

From a lot of the BBB posts I have read the hair can last well into the following day so that might be a plus. She will be able to roam the park the next day with her princess makeover too. Either way you will get some wonderful pictures of her during the makeover, I think that is what I am most excited for about our BBB appointment.

We have a 5:55 appointment. Then dinner at CRT. I figure it's the experience and enjoying the moments! I was worried about the late appointment but I think it will be worth it!

I did just noticed its Extended Evening Hours, until 11, at MK that day. Normally our daughter is in bed at 9:30 but if she has had a good nap and is in a good mood, we may stay later. Thus getting a few more hours from the princess hair! That also makes me feel a little better.

We have breakfast that day at CRT at 10:10 so slim to nothing chance we would get her done up before then, but I didn't think about BBB when I was making the CRT ressie.

For those of you who have done BBB before, how long does the experience usually last?

My friend's daughter did the bun Hair do and it stayed in place for 5 days, before she took it out. She wanted to wear it to school so that's the only reason she left it in so long! I wouldn't worry. Also, you can go in the next day for a free sprinkle of pixie dust (sparkles), in case they rub off at night. They spray the hair really well.

DD's makeovers have taken about 45 minutes from the time she was seated. We've also always waited about 30 minutes past our reservation time (we've done BBB 3 times and they've always been backlogged).

Many people report leaving the hair in place for a couple days after the appointment. Please don't count on it though, as some girls just don't like to sleep with their hair up like that, and it would be awful to have something so fun turn into something you struggled with her over.

My advice is to keep checking. Call every day. Something will pop up between now and then. And since DTD is the less popular location, see what they have open too.

If not, then just make the best of it. Have the hair done, take tons of photos, make some great memories and let her decide whether to sleep in it.

I would keep checking for an earlier time. The best part about out BBB experience was all of the extra attention my daughter got afterwards. She dressed as Snow White, she had great interactions at CRT, with Jasmine/Aladdin (Jasmine kissed her cheek!), Cinderella's stepsisters were hilarious and teasing my DD as "Snow". Then, Snow White even left the evening parade for a moment (she walked it at the time) to come grab my DD for a big hug (although I'm sure my DD Screaming "SNOW WHITE" as loud as she could while wearing the BBB outfit helped ;)

I think the characters, and in fact, all the castmembers, go above and beyond to give the BBB girls special attention.

Oh, and my DD was 4 on the last trip, this was the highlight!!!
