Isn't there a trend in Europe on the news that tourists are not welcome anywhere.. the protest in Venice looked large but in my ignorance I thought they had narrow streets

Is that really accurate? What people really aren't happy about is the rent is too damm high. Of course those complaints have been going on for years and tourists are just the latest group to get blamed for it. We all know the person renting out an AirBnB for $1,000 a night doesn't dislike the tourists.
