Beware of YOMD scam while on property

WCVB (ABC Boston affiliate) is reporting today that on-property guests are being targeted with a YOMD phone scam. Victims, called in their rooms, are being told they have won a YOMD promotion and just need to give a credit card to hold the prize. The thieves then proceed to spend on your card. While they showed a video of Poly, I suspect it was a stock clip and it is likely to happen anywhere on property.

This type of scam isn't new. But, appears to still be working and has targeted unsuspecting vacationers. Please don't give out any personal info to anyone whom you did not contact first.

Thanks for the info! It is always good to keep people aware of such scams.

It's sad that there are people out there that pull such stunts to take advantage of people but it is equally as sad that there are people who unknowingly fall for these types of scams.

This is probably the same group that's pulling the "great deal for you.......wait 24 hours before picking up your tix at front desk" scam.
