Does anyone read any of her books? I just started reading the first book of the Abram's Daughter's series. They seem really good. My mom has the Lancaster series & is going to send them over too.

Tis goot reading ain't it? Dah, I must redd up for the rest of the series. :rotfl:

I have read many of her adult books and DD has read her kids/teen books. We both enjoy them. Debby

I read the first two of the Abram's Daughter's series but I couldn't finish the third one. I just lost interest. I think it turned too much into a typical romance story.

I've read the series that began with I believe, The Shunning. That series was really good and I recommend it. :)

I've never heard of them, but I'll have to check them out.

yep, i've read the entire series of abrahms daughter, so has my sister. we LOVED them!

Humm....I will have to check them out. Is the lancaster ones a different series?

Yes, I think it is a different series. Abram's Daughters also takes place in Lancaster. :)

I read the 1st book Sunday, the 2nd book Monday & finished the 3rd this morning. I cried through the last 1/2 of the thirs book. I can't wait to get my hands on the other 2 books. Isn't that funny, I literally bawled like a baby! :rotfl: I get to wrapped up in the lifes of these characters. :rotfl: Ugh, must be time for me to plan another vacation!

Hmm... now my interest is peaked, maybe I'll get the third book out and finish it! I live in Lancaster county so I do like to read about the familiar spots :sunny:

Love the books that Beverly Lewis writes!!

And if you're into "crying", read Karen Kingsbury's "One Tuesday Morning".. I couldn't even BREATHE at the end and literally cried myself to sleep.. LOL

I'll have to add that onto my list. Nothing like a good cry. :teeth:

I think I've read all of Beverly Lewis' books and I love them all! I've always been interested in the Amish and even more so after reading these books. I've visited Lancaster one time(briefly) and desperately want to go back. I loved the whole atmosphere of the communities of Bird In Hand and Intercourse. :)

I have read all of Beverly Lewis' adult books. I really enjoy reading about the Amish-very interesting. I would love to go spend a week in a Old Order traditional Amish Family. I would love to see how they live without electricity!

My kids read the Cul-de-Sac kids chapter books by her too, and enjoy them.

I second the Karen Kingbury plug. She is by far my favorite author. Her books are amazing.

I have read all but the last one, it hasn't come on to www.frugalreader.com yet, and I couldn't find it at the library. Another recommendation for Karen Kingsbury books.. her redemption series is excellent. She is one of my favorite authors, as well as Lori Wick. I enjoy LW's contemporary novels, more than her historical ones, however.

Thanks for the link Otto's Doll. I've never heard of frugal reader. Very interesting. :)

I have been a member since March and have gotten lots of good books. I am waiting for My Sister's Keeper right now.
Got to run...today is the first day of school for the kids!
