I am currently booked for Disney on April 12-20th but am rethinking for February 15th- 23rd... Are there any deals hotel wise in April vs Feb or vice versa?? I need to make a decision fairly soon.
Right now booked for AOA 3 nights and then POR Royal for 5 nights. Help :confused3

I was just on the phone with Disney today - we are going in Feb (Princess Half Marathon, here we come!! :D) and he said it was peak season then... I was shocked! We have only ever done fall/winter with much lower rates, crowds.... According to Allears, you are going in a cheaper time then in Feb!

IME- unless your April dates straddle Easter (which in your case they don't since it is March 31st next year) the discounts are more readily avaiable in April than they are over President's Week. (the week you are considering in February)

The regular rates also tend to be higher in February as well. I did get a pin code one year (2010) for a room only discount during President's Week. But, there is no guarantee for either time frame, of course.

A couple other things to consider:
weather - the weather in February is very inconsistent: one trip during Pres. Week and we had temps in the 70's and 80's; another trip they were in the 40's and 50's. You just don't know this far ahead of time. On the other hand, the weather in April is usually gorgeous.

crowds - both weeks will probably be crowded, but Feb. will likely be more crowded

Flower and Garden Festival - if you keep your April dates, you will get to see this at Epcot; typically there is nothing special going on in Feb.

The weeks of April 15th and 22nd are school holiday weeks in the Northeast, and Disney knows that and prices their rooms accordingly (high). President's week is usually high as well. However this past Feb. they had some fairly good discounts, but didn't release them until late Dec. or early Jan. I think we got a 30% or 35% discount at OKW during President's week.

I'll actually be there around both of those dates. The Feb. date is around our Mardi Gras holidays (and is a rescheduled trip from my Labor Day trip Isaac ruined!). My April trip is April 20-26, which is our spring break.
I've gone around these same times for years. Feb. weather is cooler, but I find the crowds less in April.

If I had to pick between the two, I'd pick April because it should be less crowded. Mardi Gras increases the crowds and then with Presidents week following right on the hills of Mardi Gras, I think it's going to be alot more crowded in Feb. Mardi Gras day is Feb. 12. Alot of people from here will be there the entire week from Feb. 9-16. Presidents week is the very next week so as the Mardi Gras crowds are leaving, Presidents crowds will be arriving. Although it will be hotter in April, Flower and Garden will be going on at Epcot and it's really beautiful there! And like I said, the crowds shouldn't be as bad as your Feb. dates.
