AWESOME job on the weight loss - 45 pounds, WOW!!

I am MAJORLY impressed at all the exercise you pack in, especially with your busy schedule. What a great role model you are for the rest of us out here struggling to find a few minutes each day to get some activity in.

Hope your aches and pains subside and you have a great evening. Get some rest!!

Hi All,

I have about 10 minutes before the next patient arrives, so I thought I would post.

We have no power at home because of the high winds yesterday. The power company estimated it would be back at 230AM this morning. Well, it still wasn't on at 530 when I got up. Jon took Kate over to his parents, but they wouldn't let the dog come, so I stayed home. It was 46 degrees in the house, when I got up. I hear shivering burns calories. I hit Lifetime to shower before work. I never thought I would look forward to going to work.:lmao:

Tonight I have a session with my trainer. Other than that, we're busy here today, so I won't make it to journals today.

Hope all is well,
Take care,
Beth

Beth, I am so proud of you, 45 pounds is a huge amount of weight to lose. YOur hard work and determination have really paid off. I am so envious! I hope your power comes back on very soon, that is no fun this time of year. Sounds like a busy day, hope you have time for a deep breath somewhere along the way. Good job!

Yikes! I hope your electricity is back on soon!:cold: 46 degrees is COLD!!!!:scared1:

Hope your Thursday is a good one!

Hi Beth
Hope you get your power back on soon, i totally go to pieces when that happens - cant cope with my routine being messed up!!!
Keep warm ;)

Lord woman I hope you got your power back! What a nightmare for you and everyone else in your area. Hope this weekend is a good one (as in a "power"-ful one) and that you are getting some time for rest and fun. Your 45 pound weight loss inspired me to stay out of the cookies last night! Just so proud and happy for you, nobody deserves it more than you that's for sure! :yay:

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for checking on me. We got our power back on Friday. Jon took Katie to stay with my inlaws, but they wouldn't let us bring our dog, so I stayed here. It was miserable. I showered at the gym, so at least I had hot water. I vowed not to turn on the computer until I had finished my to do list.

Friday I went to a Silpada party that a friend was having. I ordered a cute and relatively inexpensive bracelet for DD to give me for Christmas. TOM also arrived, so I wasn't surprised to be up 1.6 pounds at WI Sat. I put up the Christmas tree and decorated the house on Saturday. We had a major snow/freezing rain storm Saturday night. I just sat in the dark looking at my tree, listening to christmas carols while it snowed.:cloud9: Today I shovelled some very heavy snow so I could make it to my PT appointment. I so was not in the mood to workout, but did anyway. 30 minutes on the elliptical and 60 minutes weight training. Came home and walked the dog for 2 miles. When I was at the point farthest from home, it started with freezing rain again. I was soaked by the time I go home. I also need new boots. My right knee is killing me. I've taken some motrin, and I am icing it now. Hopefully, all will be well by morning.

Well, I am off. I need to get munchkin ready for school tomorrow. I also work, so I need an early bedtime.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Beth! So glad your power is back on!!! Yippeee!!!

Sounds like you had a pretty good weekend! We haven't had snow/freezing rain in so long, I don't remember what it looks like! lol! I would like to get one good snow this winter.

Hope your knee feels better today!

Hi Beth, Yay for Power!! That is always my favorite thing at Christmas, just sitting in the dark looking at the beautiful tree and lights, good for you for taking some time to enjoy and relax. I am so totally, completely, INCREDIBLY, impressed that you shovel snow, work out for 90 minutes and then come home and walk the dog in the rain. And work full time and be a great mom. Ahh, see how amazing you are! TOM and a small weight gain, just one of the many joys of being a woman huh? Next week it will be gone and then some. Sounds like you are off to a successful week!:)

Hello,

I will apologize in advance for not making it to journals tonight. I am wiped out. My knee is fine, but I think that shovelling the heavy snow threw my neck/back out of alignment. I'm a bit sore. I have an appointment with a hot bubble bath and my bed, as soon as I can get Kate off to bed.

TOM always makes me tired, but this is ridiculous. We were swamped at work today, and I barely made it through. I have eaten way too much junk today as a result. I just need to stay on the straight and narrow for the rest of the week.

I don't work tomorrow. Yay! I have laundry and general house cleaning to do. kate also has double dance. I plan on going to the gym, if I can turn my neck. I am posting my meal plan for tomorrow, so I stick with it.

B: Fat free yogurt (.5 cup) with 1 cup raspberries and 1/4c Go lean crunch cereal. 5pts.
S: Grande nonfat latte (3 pts) Hey, a girl needs her caffiene.
L: Greek salad with ff dressing and grilled chicken. (8pts.)
S: Celery with Laughing cow light cheese. (1pt)
D:Homemade chicken noodle soup. (7pts) and small salad 4pts.

Wish me luck. I will make rounds tomorrow.

Take care,
Beth

Good luck Beth!!! :)

I really hope your back and neck are feeling better!!! Take care of yourself and don't push it if you have a lot of pain. Shoveling snow is BRUTAL on the back.

So awesome that you got your tree put up :). I still have to do that if you can imagine.

Hope you're doing well!! Check in and let us know when you get a chance!

Tree? OH yeah, that's right...Christmas is actually here already. Geesh, where did this year go?

Hope your knee/back/neck problems get resolved soon! I can remember shoveling snow while growing up in Ohio...it's quite the chore...take it easy out there!!

Good luck with your meal plan too! Have a good day!

That sounds lovely Beth - the listening to carols part!
Wierd but my right knee has been playing up too - & a couple of people at work too!!!

Hope TOM goes away soon
Meal plan looks good :)
Enjoy that bath :goodvibes

HI Beth! That actually sounds like a nice peaceful winter night... Sometimes that's when i do my best thinking! LOL
Hope your knee starts to feel better!!

Hey all,

RL is getting the better of me. the other nurse at work is ill. I wish I believed that. Oh well, I am working full time this week, and still trying to get everything done. Today is Kate's night off from dance, so Jon is taking her to see Santa. I head to see my trainer in about 15 minutes. My food choices have been Horrendous. I'll deal with my WI when it comes. I can only focus on so many things at once. This week, my food choices is not one of them. My back/neck/knee seem ok. I am still a bit achy, but it may just be the freezing weather. After my appointment, I need to shovel the snow again. I probably won't make it to journals until tomorrow. I really need some sleep tonight.

Take care,
Beth

Hi, Beth.

So sorry you haven't been feeling well. It really stinks when you are already under the weather and then have to work extra hard at the job. I am SO IMPRESSED that you are still working with your trainer and keeping up your exercise in spite of the obstacles life throws at you. Keep it up - you're doing great!

Hope you feel better soon and your aches and pains continue to subside - hurting is no fun. Have a good one!

Susan
