I am sorry that I have bailed on you. I have some unexpected house guests. Namely my girlfriend and her 3 boys. It looks like she will be divorcing her husband. I am very busy at the moment, and haven't had time to get on the boards. I will try to catch up wiht all of you later in the week.

Hi friends,

I got my house clean. Clean as in spotless. Windows, floors, walls, the whole shebang. It looked cleaner than when we moved in. Now, I have 3 adults and 4 kids under the age of 8 staying in my house, and it is totally trashed.

My girlfriend is moving into rental house in the neighborhood this weekend. I have always hated her husband. He is a dirtbag. She found out that he has been cheating. He has 2 other kids with this woman, and he is selling drugs. She cleaned out the bank accounts, gathered up her stuff, and came to me.

It has been stressful, and she is a wreck, but we are dealing. Kate is like a mother hen. She is very sweet to the kids, and is helping out meore. I love my daughter. Having 3 young boys in the house also helps me appreciate her more too.

I have kept up with my workouts. I have decided never to tell my trainer where I hurt again. That suddenly becomes the focus area. Today my arms feel like lead. Food has been ok, but I have consumed more wine this week than all year.

I work for the rest of the week, so I should be able to post from work. I help my friend move on Saturday.

I need to run, patient is here. Thanks for sticking with me.

Sorry it's been so stressful. Sounds like she needed to get away from her husband! Glad they are getting into a house this weekend! Great job in still getting in your workouts! That is great!!!

Beth, I love a clean house, nothing feels better. Good for you! And you are such an angel to have your friend and her three kids living with you temporarily. That is wonderful. You are helping her more than you will ever know. Without you, she might be able to divorce dirt bag. He sounds like a real winner. My sister will probably meet him and begin dating him soon, she can smell a dirtbag like a bloodhound! I hope life settles down, and you are keeping up with your workouts in spite of it all. You amaze me!

Did you ever find out anything more about the little boy who got run over? The one whose life you saved? That still makes me shudder and angry. Hope he is all right!

Today is sooo boring. We only have 3 patients. I hate waiting around. If I could do an on-call kind of thing, it would be ok. I have hit journals instead.

Last night DH wanted Pf changs. the lettuce wraps. Had a few bites of lo mein, but not bad. It was nice to be just the three of us for an evening. I am happy to help my friend, but having 4 extra people in my smallish house is a strain. Thank God, I get up early. DH had no hot water this am. We then hit Nordstrom and found an affordable and beautiful christmas dress that Kate, DH, and I can all agree on. Phew.I will post a pic when we go for her portraits.

After work, I am taking Kate to dance. We'll have leftovers for dinner. Homework. Lunches. Walk the dog. Another 30 minutes on the treaddie. Then bed. Same old. Same old.

I just wanted to chime in that your trip to PF Changs has reminded me of one of my favorite meals ever....which took place at at PF Changs and yes, we had the lettuce wraps : and had a great server who paired up some noodle and entree dishes for us...ahhhh....thanks for the memories!

...now back to the regularly scheduled journaling...
