Beth's WW Journey. (Comments Welcome)

Beth, I am so glad Kate is feeling better. That must be a relief, hope you feel better soon too and get some much needed rest! I had to laugh when I read what your husband said about your busy evenings! Dh the other night was on his own and told me the news flash of dd having so much math homework. Wow, I hadn't noticed!:lmao:

Good luck at weigh in tomorrow, and good for you for going on a different day. Its very easy to just skip when the normal day is missed and you aren't doing that. So well done!

That disco boat sounds like a nightmare. I would have had some cocktails too! And that food was indeed atrocious. At least its over!

Hang in there, hope your week settels down!:)

 Beth,

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Hi All,

I am just doing a quick post before hitting the shower. I am feeling much better. I am still congested and coughing, but I am feeling more human. I will take it easy though. Today, I am going to WW. I am dreading this because I know I am up. It is really important I go and refocus though. Then I'll do the grocery shopping. After lunch, i will take a nap. I need to make dinner and take DD to dance. She is 100% btw. I will go to bed when she does. Lots of rest and fluids.

I have a pattern you see. I go and go until I am just worn out. Then I get really sick, usually pneumonia. That dforces me to stop and slow down. Well, this time, I am trying to slow down before get the pneumonia.

Ok, I am off. I missed a few journals. I'll catch them a bit later.
Take care,
Beth

Well, I am up 0.8 pounds. I can deal with that. It is actually much less than I thought. Now, I am off to nap.
Takwe care,
Beth

Hi Beth
glad your slowing down, dont go getting pneumonia!!
sorry the cruise/meal was a wash out!
Take care

Beth,
Glad to hear you are feeling better-pneumonia would set you way back, good idea to take it easy.

I am one of the lucky ones,my husband does alot,so he gets it.Good thing he is good in math or my kids would be failing:),I never did well.

0.8 lbs. is probably just fluid, let it go and keep up the good work,
Linda

Hi guys,

I totally took it easy yesterday. You all know that is hard work for me. I am sorry I never made it back to journals. After putting the munchkin to bed, I just collapsed in my own. This cold is kicking my backside. I did walk the dog for a mile. That was about all I could manage.

Today I am feeling much better. I am still going to take it easy. I am working on laundry this morning. This afternoon ti am helping unload the Marketday truck, then I go to an appointment with my trainer. He will just have to understand that I am not 100%:confused3 After that dinner and bed. I will try to hit journals today. I miss keeping up with you guys when I can't make it to journals.

I am not stressed about the .8. I expected it, andam glad it wasn't more.

Ok, I am off.

take care,
Beth

Hi Beth! Glad to hear Kate is better! Keep resting and takin in those fluids! pneumonia is NO FUN!!! Please take care of yourself. Glad you are not stressing about the .8 Heck, it's not even a whole lb!!!

Hope you have a great day! Take a nap for me!!! :)

Stacie

Beth, don't stress about that .8lb! That's like a couple glasses of water!! LOL
Keep us posted as to how your appt. with the trainer goes today!!

Wow Beth...sorry to hear you've been sick  . Just can't `catch a break!

Don't sweat the w/i. You are doing really well and contending with one challenge after another. Get yourself totally healthy then you can concentrate on the exercise!

I hope this week starts to brighten for you! Glad Kate is feeling better too! :sunny:

Hello All,

Well I am feeling much better physically. I still have a bit of a cough, but nothing to hold me back. I took it easy this morning. I could get used to that, but then nothing would get done. After lunch I went to school to "help" unload the truck for marketday fundraiser. Gee, I was the only one there. The chair didn't even show. Ugh. $3000 dollars worth of food unloaded, sorted, and bagged by myself wasn't fun.
After that I went to my workout with my trainer. Talk about being disappointing. Yes, I know that I am not at 100%. What we've discovered is that I am totally compensating for my injuries. My strength is very onesided, and it is affecting my aspects. My stride is off. My hip allignment and back allignment is also off. Range of motion on my one side is significantly decreased, and my balance is totally wonky. What does this mean? That I need to start at the basics and slow things down significantly. Yeah, like I am patient. If I don't fix this, I face arthritis and back pain/injury. This is really hard for me. I thought most of this was corrected after my surgeries and pt. Ken gave me a great workout, but I could tell that he was frustrated too. I think he expected my lower body to match up with what I am capable of with my upper body. I need to work on my balance and coordination to do some of the things he wants me to be able to do. So we slowed it down and are taking things in steps with fewer reps. Patience. Patience. Patience.

I talked to DH. My intro sessions are ending, and I think I need someone to be on me and correcting me. I need to know that I am not overdoing the "pose" and not pushing for too many reps. Dh agreed that I can continue to do the sessions with Ken. We're going to have to cut back on somethings, and that is making me feel guilty.

I am also considering taking some pilates classes. I think I will have to wait until the new year. I can ask for them for christmas and bday presents. It just is not in the cards financially right now. I won't do a tape, I am afraid of doing it incorrectly and injuring myself.

Okay, as for tomorrow.... I work, Kate has dance. We're having leftovers. I will walk the dog. If things are slow at work, I will be able to do journals.

Off to bed.

Take care,
Beth

Just a quick post before I head to bed.:faint:

I am sore today. No, let me rephrase that. I AM SORE TODAY. I am moving very slowly. On the upside, I am providing those around me with endless entertainment. I just keep telling myself that it is a good sore. I have done mucho stretching this morning and evening. I did go for the 3 mile walk with puppy despite the slow gait. I am feeling a bit better after that, and more stretching.:rolleyes1

Work was bad today. I had my first patient code at this place. We are about 10 minutes from a hospital. I found out the doc I work for panics in a crisis, but the scrubs are awesome. Thank God, I can give orders.I tubed the guy, defibbed and cardioverted by the time the ambulance showed. He made it. The sad thing is that he needed the declot of his graft 3 days ago. He didn't show for 2 appointments. His potassium was sky high. If he had shown for the original appointment, he would have dialized and none of this would have happened. My real concern is that the other nurse I work with is weak. I think he would have died, if she had been there. I have always known that is a possibility to occur, but it was different coding someone outside of the hospital.

Other than that, my day went according to plan. I am within points which is a miracle. I am going to soak in the tub and get some sleep.

Work again tomorrow.

Take care,
Beth

Beth -- you truly continue to amaze me!! popcorn:: I mean, you excersise like there is no tomorrow -- and even when you are tired and sore, you are out there doing 3 miles!!

And, to top it off, you SAVED A LIFE today!! :woohoo: Wow.. talk about a real hero!! :thumbsup2

Have a good tub soak --- you totally deserve it! :cheer2:

Yeah..... Beth!!!:cheer2: You were awesome at work today!!!

Sorry to hear you are lopsided! ;) I know that is frustrating, having to cut back on your workouts and take it slow...

You mentioned Pilates... There has been some really good advice on here about that. I'm sure that pilates would really help you out! Go for it!!! It will definately be worth it! I'm sure echos saying the same thing! :goodvibes

Keep up the good work girl! You're doing fantastic!!!

Stacie

Keep up the good work...good luck with the sessions...and I'll try to keep up better on your journal.
