Ok ~ here's the rest of day three...though it's nowhere near as exciting as part 1.
Day 3 ~ 10/18 Part 2
Cast: Beth (31)
with: Andrea (26) for a while
Ok, so after the dolphins, I went back to CSR to change and drop off my video, then headed back to EPCOT. The first stop was the camera shop to have someone look at my camera. The first guy who offered to look at it really didn't know anything about them...he was one who would help you see the pics the photographers took of you. But another woman came over and took me to the camera side of the shop. As soon as she looked at the inside, she said "I know exactly what the problem is," and proceeded to clean her hands and slide a small slat back under what it was supposed to be under. Apparently in advancing the film enough to be caught I knocked it out of place. She pulled out a roll of film they keep for testing and it worked perfectly. I bought a roll of film, and she put it in for me, showing me a different way to put the film in so I wouldn't knock the slide thing again. So I was back in photo business! :0)
Walked right onto Spaceship Earth, Journey Into the Imagination and Body Wars. Since I was solo, I could do the single riders line at Test Track and was on in less than 10 minutes while the group line was about 35 minutes...there are definitely some advantages to traveling solo! After that I wandered through the countries and parked on a bench (an awesome one right close to where the parade would come out at Morocco) for the 6:10 Tapestry of Dreams ~ which had to be canceled due to adverse wind conditions. Then I wandered around trying to decide what I was hungry for and decided on the non-adventerous choice of chicken fingers. Then I found a bench across from the coffee espresso bar between America and Italy that not only gave me a great view of ToD but also, with a little bit of a tree branch slightly blocking the sky but not so much that I couldn't see the fireworks part of Illuminations, an awesome view of the center of the lake for all that activity.
Andrea showed up in time for ToD, so we watched that and Illuminations then went over to Downtown Disney so she could see some people in the WoD (where she worked the information desk before she got a promotion to Coordinator of Training for the store). First we got caramel sundaes from Ghiradelli's to celebrate her new job and wandered around DTD a little. Then it was back to the room for some rest before insanity the next morning ~ MK on Saturday!
