Beth Page Campground in Urbanna, VA?

Anyone been? I'd love feedback, positive & negative. DD wants to go camping, momma don't camp (tent camp anyway) and this seems to be a good compromise. We would be renting one of the cabins they have available!

Thanks. I had read those yesterday actually, but all those reviews seemed to "seasoned" campers...with their own "accomadations". I''m curious if anyone has stayed in one of their rental cabins....because that would be us.

From your original post, it is hard to tell that you are staying in a cabin.

It appears that your family is tent camping, and you might be driving home each evening.

I don't tent camp either,

Tent camping is just not my idea of a vacation at all. To each his own however!

In my "long time ago years" , I loved tent camping.
Now that I'm in my "not as long time ago years", I really enjoy not tent camping.
The bones don't don't cooperate as well as they use'ta.
Enjoy the camping ,,,and a nice bed, really enjoy our TT .

Hello from a former Mechanicsville resident.

My parents have rented those cabins during the Urbanna Oyster Festival for the past few years and have enjoyed them. Our family used to own a site at Bethpage but that was sold some years ago. It is a great family campground.

Starting last year as RVrs we stayed at Bethpage for 10 Days.

This is ranked with us as one of the nicest, cleanest RV Parks that we have been in.

They now have a Waterpark. I use my kayak in their lake which has a beach and great swimming in the lake. Kayaking is just for fun in the lake, but it does hold largemouth bass. Also, at least 3 swimming pools.

I take my kayak to their boat ramp, a short paddle to the Rapahhanock river and a right turn toward the Chesapeake Bay. I have caught small bluefish, some rockfish (Stripers), croakers and flounders.

We went back over the 4th of July this year, but temps hit up 107 degrees.

I will try to post some pics on this thread of Bethpage. I just have to upload to the DIS Commuity PICS---Give me a little time.

1st) A picture of our site. Directly behind us was registration, the store and the marina. Bethpage is big. Our bikes came in handy. You can rent golfcarts. Not sure about bikes, but I cannot see why not.

2nd) A picture of some of the swimming pools in the Waterpark.

3rd) A picture of the beach and swimming lake.

4th) Another part of the Waterpark.

OH WOW thanks so much!!!!!!!! I will definately put this on my list for next summer. From the looks of the water park, I'm pretty sure that's where I'll be parked the whole time we are there. If there's a slide, DD is all over it!
