We're planning our first Disneyland trip in May..We're just planning 2 nights, 3 days (we'll have Military 3 day park hoppers) ...and we found that the Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn is $109/night for 2 Queens, Fridge/Microwave, Free Breakfast...

Has anyone stayed here, if so, how did you like it? Close enough to walk?

We obviously have time to cancel and look for better deals...TIA!

I've stayed there many times & it's my go-to hotel due to the the clean, good-sized, recently-remodeled rooms, the free hot breakfast, the pool area, and the close proximity to the Parks. Walking time is about 12 minutes from the hotel to Park turnstiles. Also, the ART bus picks up/drops off right in front of the hotel. It's not a luxury hotel (it's an older but well-maintained & updated motel, with exterior corridors), but for the price, it's a great choice.

We were there at BW Stovall's earlier this week and stayed for 4 nights. The walk is 8-10 minutes if you walk up the street to the GCH and cut through the GCH lobby to DTD and then to the esplanade. I thought that the rooms were VERY clean. There was plenty of parking (they charge $10/night for parking and you have to be out of the parking lot by 3pm on check out day). The free breakfast includes hot items, too. Breakfast usually involved the following:

apple juice or orange juice
coffee & tea
yogurt
bagels, bread, & a toaster
bananas & apples
cereal
pancakes
eggs
sausage or bacon (this would alternate, 1 day was sausage and the next day would be bacon)
mini muffins

It IS close enough to walk. It's pretty much right on the corner of Katella Ave & Disneyland Dr (I think that's the name of the street). We really enjoyed staying here and we would stay here again. My DH forgot his toothbrush and the front desk staff gave him a replacement one for free. There are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs, along with heated towels next to the pool.

Marri's Pizza Restaurant is about a 5 min walk down the street. We got take out from there one evening for dinner and a medium 1-topping pizza, small salad, and a kid's meal spaghetti w/meat sauce cost $31. The kid's meal spaghetti could have fed 2 people.

Thanks! I'll check out your TR too! :)

All good to hear! Thanks!

We stayed there in 2011, the walk is about 15 min going through DTD, a bit shorter through GCH. It's a super quiet and pretty walk at night as they have the trees lit up with lights. Our kids were 3.5 and 5m when we went and they always fell asleep on the nightly walk home. Food was decent and plentiful. Ask to be above the breakfast room, or near the lobby, it will be a shorter walk then. There's a Denny's down Katella away from DL that was good too.

I stayed there in May, I used the Ford automotive corporate code, which you can get from the best western website and I got a great deal YVMV I saved about 25 a night. Also if you are going to take a plane, use getawaytoday to get passes for the Disneyland express, $22 for adults from LAX, kids are free and it parks on the oposit corner (in front of Tiffany's) super comfortable, and convenient, much better than shuttles

We have a stay there coming up that I bought through Hotwire for $83 a night. But I have heard you can see the DL fireworks from the pool area..... Hoping that is true!

I have stayed there 2X and going again in 3 weeks. It has a great breakfast. Nit too long of a walk, we cut through Grand Californian hotel.

I get about $89/night through LMT CLUB.

We've stayed there before and would for sure stay there again. Clean, updated, close enough to walk and really friendly/helpful employees.

My husband and I like this hotel a lot. We have stayed there twice and are planning to go back again. It is a slightly longer walk than some hotels on Harbor but we like going through the Grand Californian and being close to Trader Sams at the Disneyland hotel.

I've stayed there. The beds are a little hard, but it's a decent, basic hotel. The free breakfast is nice. The parking feels secure. It's not too hard to walk from there (just a little further than the onsite hotels). Overall, it's not our favorite hotel, but for the price, it's a good spot.

We stay there from time to time. Definetely plan on heading down to breakfast early as it gets busy very fast. Bring some ziplock bags to bring food to the park (cereal, muffins etc.) if you don't have time to sit down. We really like this hotel, very clean and like everyone says, use the GCH shortcut!

I have stayed there many times as well. It is my first choice when staying offsite, however it was booked for our upcoming trip in May so we will stay at the "sister hotel" Best Western Anaheim Inn.
