Best Week in November

DW I and new son are planning trip for November, 2002. Need advice on which week in November do you feel is best. All answers welcome.

The week after Thanksgiving is wonderful. The Christmas decorations are up and the crowds are light.

We're going to go down for Thanksgiving 2002. We've always gone at "quiet" times. I hope we don't regret going during the busy season!

hi: we were just there 11/6-11/12 this year. for the most part the crowds weren't too bad. however, part of this week was a bit crowded due to the new jersey schools being off on 11/8 and 11/9 for the state teachers' convention. this occurs about the same time every year. also, the first weekend in november is the "soaps" weekend. they were putting up the christmas decorations at the bw the last few days before we left. if we can, we'll go back to our may and september trip times. it's a bit harder to work around the high school sports schedules though.

Any time in November is fine except Thanksgiving weekend. Stay away during that time, it is real busy.

We had pretty good luck with the week before Thanksgiving week. Small crowds, warm temperatures. Our last trip down was in Spring of last year, but I'm strongly considering switching back to November for our next trip (which may or may not include the cruise). I think any week other than Thanksgiving is a good time to avoid crowds.

Been there the week before and after Thanksgiving, and to see the lights start to go up and have to leave was a real BUMMER. The following year we went the week after and what a sight. The weather is about the same, maybe a little cooler after, but not bad either time. The crowds seemed a little less after but not enough to make a difference. When we go again at this time of year, it'll be the week after again.

Is it pretty easy to book a room the week after Thanksgiving at the 7 month window? We own at OKW, but kids would love to stay at BW. Does anyone know if it's easy to get a 1 bedroom then?

Thank you all for your advice. After speaking with the boss (DW) I think we have decided on 11/10/02 - 11/16/02.
