Is the first week or second week better? According to touringplans.com it would be the second week..should I go with that even though it puts it closer to schools getting out? I thought I had it all set with Dec 2nd-12th, but now I am wondering should I plan the 9th-19th. HELP!!!!!!

Edited to add:I forgot to mention the crowd levels. The first week they are 4, 5 and 6's. The next week is mostly 3 and 4. We are used to going in Sept when it's 4's and it is so nice. My DH is a line snob and will NOT stand in a line that is more than 20 minutes so it is really important that we go in the least busy time.

I would say there would not be that much difference in that time frame, and plan to go when it suits you best.

I would have said years ago that the first week and the second week are pretty much equal, but not now. The taping of the Christmas parades brings some extra crowds during the first week, so I would go with the second week.

So how is the week just before Christmas? We are looking at Dec. 17 to the Dec.27 ? We want to go there for at least 4-5 days, and up to 10 days. So we arn't real picky about the length of time...

We were just there Dec 18-26th. The closer it got to christmas the more crowded it was. We went to MK Christmas day and it was pretty crowded. We were shocked at the wait for Its A small World. It was 80 minutes long at one point. I think it is the only time I ever saw ropes in front of the ride for the extended line. If you are the type that can handle the crowds you will do fine. We utilized EMH at night twice and really had the best time during these hours, although it was late at night. Also my kids did not want to get up early for once and it made it difficult to get early starts. I blame this on the beds at the POLY. Anyway if you have a good plan and some tolerance you should be fine. The big thing I told my kids is that we are not in a race, we will see what we can and enjoy it. Good luck !

What weekend do you guys think that they will tape the parade this year? I hope I do not offend anyone but I hope that it is the first weekend and not the second since we will be there the 6th-15th and were hoping to avoid the Christmas parade taping.

be great but I would avoid the time when the Pop Warner Football event is there. Between the players (who really are the best mannered), to the cheerleaders (help us all!) and the parents (who have never told their player/cheerleader "no" and believe WDW is only for them) it can take away from a great visit. If you have to be there during Pop Warner, just do everything you can do to avoid any of the All Star, Pop Century and even some of the moderate resorts. Experiencing this group in the parks is one thing but having them in your resort is a totally different and horrible experience.

All that being said, December is a great time to visit with good weather, lower crowds and the decorations.

Have a great time!
