Best way to wear pins... other than lanyard

What's the best way to wear pins at the parks. My DD and I have never pin traded before, but we don't want to wear the lanyards. Can we put them on our backpacks ... is that usually an acceptable way? Any other ideas?

I have seen backpacks, fanny packs, hats, lanyards - you name it! My only advice would be to make sure that your backs are on good because even on lanyards, sometimes the backs get loose and you will end up losing a pin.

When I first got into pin trading I would wear a couple of pins on my hat because I had seen other guests doing that, although now I have some of my favorite pins on a lanyard.

I have seen folks using all of the above along with pin vests, sashes and hip lanyards that can be bought on eBAY.

This is one that I use when my DD wants to not carry a lanyard - bought it on the BAY
