So I've started taking baths every once in awhile as opposed to showering all the time now. And i am curious as to how you wash your hair while in the tub. So what's your method and how well does it work?

I don't wash my hair in the tub, only in the shower. Tubs are for pampering.

Unless you have some sort of hand-held shower head attached to your tub, there is just no way to wash your hair in the tub and do it well. Leaning back and trying to rinse under the little tub spout is good if you're THREE maybe...but not so good as an adult.

I think on the days you feel like a bath, just sit back and soak and enjoy it. Wash your hair on the other days. Or use a dry shampoo spray to get you through.

I used to hate showers when I was a kid, probably till about 14. I'd lay down to get my hair wet, and lather it up while I soaked. To rinse it, I'd just run the faucet for a few minutes as the tub drained. Just lay down with your head tilted back. Since it's a lot more water than a shower, it only takes a few minutes to get all the shampoo out. Or you could stand up with the shower head on to rinse at the end of your bath.

I soak in the bathtub with no soap or anything, wash my hair, rinse it in the tub water, put conditioner on it, wash my body, rinse my body while not getting my hair wet and then get in the shower to rinse my hair and rinse my body again.

I have a jetted tub and seperate shower. I have to get in the shower after my bath to feel clean. :guilty:

I grew up in a house that didn't have a shower. We had only a bathtub (iron claw footed one, in fact). There wasn't enough water pressure for a shower or something, I guess. So we only took baths. Instead of washing our hair in the tub, we always washed our hair leaning over the kitchen sink with the sprayer thing.

I suppose that if I were taking a bubble bath in a bathroom that had a shower, I'd simply stand up at the end of my shower, let the water start running out of the tub, turn the shower on and stand there and wash my hair (and rinse my body off at the same time).

When I take a bath, I wait until after to take a shower to do any actual cleaning. Baths for cleaning stopped when I was 5. Now, it's for relaxing only. Every time I take a bath, I at least rinse off afterward.

I have short hair, so it is fairly easy.

I use a large plastic glass. I pour water over my head to get the hair wet. Lather w/ shampoo, then rinse.

I do the same- I can't sit in my own dirt water and then get out and feel clean. I will take a bath and then stand up and shower before getting out.

I have a 1 qt plastic pitcher that I use.
