Best way to transfer hotels? DGC to HoJos.

Hi all!

I am going the Backstage Magic ABD in October (yay!!!), and during the Disneyland portion of the tour, we will be staying at the Grand Californian. We've booked post-days, but will be switching over to HoJos.

In doing some preliminary planning, I realized that these hotels are on opposite sides of Disneyland- and while they are technically not a far walk, it would require going through the esplanade (and going through security with our suitcases is obviously not a thing that's going to happen).

Has anyone done a similar hotel-switch- and what's the best way to tackle this? Right now I'm thinking either a taxi (even though it's such a short drive), or doing part-walk, part-public transit/shuttles. Any tips or suggestions?

Personally, I would just get a taxi to make things as easy as possible.

We plan to use Uber to transfer hotels.

You can take your luggage through the esplanade either before they open security or after with an escort but the easier was would be to can or Uber it. I cabbed to paradise Peir from the Sheraton Park and it only cost about $10

I did the exact same thing! After the ABD trip, I transfered to HOJO to meet up with my sister. I planned on a cab, they have them waiting at the entrance. However, the awesome guys down there just offered to drive me over in one of the GCH cars instead. I felt really fancy. Ha. It was a quick trip. But I would just grab a cab. Easy.

Total taxi.

Depending on your day's plans...

1. wake up, get your stuff down to Grand's Bell Services to be held for the day. one you're done with parks, go back to the Grand to get it and catch your cab.

2. wake up, get everything together and take the cab to HoJo, leave it with their luggage services, go about your day.
