My family plus a friend and her dd are all going to WDW in June. We are wanting to stay on site. Right now we are looking at two rooms at ASMo, is there anyway anywhere at a resort where all 6 of us can stay in one room? I looked into Animal Kingdom Lodge and it looked like we could in the Queen Deluxe, but I wasn't sure. It's a little more, but not too bad.

The Deluxe resorts and Port Orleans Riverside can accommodate 5 people, and the Wilderness cabins can accommodate 6. But I think you'll have a lot more space if you have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms.

I would suggest the WIlderness Cabins for six people! We have never stayed in them, but they look really nice!

You need to consider if you want to cook. The homes or cabins do provide a full kitchen.
The bedroom will have a double bed with 2 bunk beds and there is a murphy bed in the den. This is a quite peaceful resorts. We have stayed there 2 times. However it is quite time consuming to get from here to other parks. That is the only downside I can offer.

Two seperate room would give each faimly some privacy and rhw 2 bathrooms are a plus. The pools at All star are better also. At Fort Wilderness they are just plain everyday pools.

For 2 families, I would pick the 2 rooms at the All Stars. I agree with the above posters that there will be more privacy and the extra bathroom will be invaluable! The All Stars are great resorts for kids with cool pools, nice playgrounds, hair weaving, big store, yummy food court and good bus service. I've never stayed in Ft. Wilderness, but I do know that transportation to any park other than Magic Kingdom can take a while.

You could all stay together in a Jr. Suite at the Wilderness Lodge too, however it only has one bathroom. But, like the others said. Mornings will be faster if you have two rooma and two bathrooms.

Right now we have a cabin booked at Wilderness Lodge. It was the best deal for us and we are only a really tight budget for this trip. I have called back to try and get a 2 rooms at the All Star, but so far no luck, but I will keep trying.

If you have a cabin booked, it's not at the WL, but rather in the Fort Wilderness campground. I've never stayed in a cabin, but I have stayed in one of the Fort Wilderness "homes" (it's a trailer). We enjoyed it at the time, but there were only two of us so one bathroom was sufficient. With six people it would really come in handy to have 2 bathrooms and that's why I would rather get connecting rooms at All Stars.

Also, when we stayed at Fort Wilderness, WDW only had two parks and was much less crowded. Now things have been so built up that FW seems far removed from a lot of WDW.

But you can't go wrong staying on property. I've seen pictures of the inside of the cabins and they're really nice.

Have you checked out the Swan/Dolphin? They are deluxe resorts with deluxe prices, but they do offer decent discounts as well. If any one in your party is a teacher or a government employee you can get a rate of 129.00/night for a standard. You can get up to three rooms with this. Otherwise if you are a DC member (or become one) or of you have someone in your party that will purchase an AP pass you can get 1/2 off rack rates. You could get connecting rooms or they have a Junior Suites ( beleive at the Dolphin). Check out glos Swan/Dolphin FAQ site on the board. It has all the info you'll need to check it out. I did this for our last trip. We just returned from 10 days at the Swan and had a great time. We had two families of four with connecting rooms. The location is the best.

You could also consider calling OKW. The rooms that aren't booked by DVC members are released to the general public. They have 2 bathrooms, one w/ jacuzzi tub. They also have a full kitchen. Even if you don't want to cook, the frig. is nice to keep cold drinks.

The nice part about the campground..is the bathrooms are great for getting showered and ready in...the public bathroom. Having had two teens and an almost teen at the same time, our RV was just too small in the mornings..so the girls went to the bathouse to get ready.
