Best way to Ohana from MK and/or BLT?

Hello - We have a 4:30 Ohana ADR, and I'm trying to plan how to get there. We are staying at Bay Lake Tower, but we will be at MK that day. I am debating an afternoon break, and wondering how much of a time difference it would be ...
- monorail from MK to Poly
vs
- walk to BLT (assuming that's faster than monorail), take a break, and then monorail to Poly (actually not sure if that's even an option?)
Thanks!

We've walked from MK to Cont/Cont to MK many times and it's only maybe a 10 min walk(about 1/2 mile). We found this to seem faster than walking to monorail station and waiting for a monorail. For you, you would still have to walk over to BLT from Cont then. In actual time difference (not counting your break time) would probabaly amount to only a few minutes so it probably comes down to preference.

Hope this helps some,

Monarail to poly from CR. Or if you are at MK you can monorail to the TTC and walk to the Poly. Or if you are at MK you can boat to Poly

If you decide to take a break...walk back to the CR/BLT. It's under 10 mins. Then, take the monorail to the Polynesian from the CR.
If you decide to stay in MK?? Take the boat over to the Polynesian from the MK. It will go to the GF first then to the Polynesian.

Thanks! So it sounds like most likely these are the quickest routes -
BLT to MK - walk - usually quicker than walking to cont. and waiting for monorail -- and -- it looks like we'd have to stop at all the other resorts first? I'm assuming it goes it in a circle - so to MK would take a long time, but from MK would be pretty quick since we'd be dropped off first?
MK to Poly - boat or monorail - is it really quicker though to get off at the TTC and walk to Ohana, then to get off at Poly?

The Resort line, which is what you would be on, when leaving MK, goes to the CR, then TTC, then Polynesian, then GF and back to MK. The entire loop takes about 25 mins.

It's faster to stay on the monorail vs walking from the TTC. If you take the big ferry from MK, to the TTC, then you can walk. That may be faster than walking up the monorail platform, waiting for the car to come in and then heading over to the Polynesian. But if you're already on the monorail? Quicker to just stay on and get off at the Grand Ceremonial House, where 'Ohana is located. The walk is nice, and one that I really enjoy, but not if it meant getting off at the TTC first.

Thanks GoofyforTink! I've read that the big ferry is easier with strollers and scooters - and we will have one of each. Does it come pretty often? Is it obvious where to go for that one vs the normal boat?

Absolutely easy to find. There is a huge dock for it. The ferry makes continuous runs....back and forth, all day long, between TTC and MK. IF it's a busy time of year, they run two of the ferries.
And yes, it is easier to use the big ferry with strollers/ecv's. Just ride/push onto the boat, and then off again on the other end.

So, if you are exiting MK, or arriving from BLT via the sidewalk, you will see the bus stops over to the left, the boat to WL/FtW in front of you. In between these two is the big ferry dock. It is very well marked...just enter and board the boat. The boat will unload from the opposite end that it boarded from..so you want to keep going forward once you get on the boat.
When you get to the TTC, I would just walk over to the Polynesian since you have strollers and ECVs...much easier than getting up the monorail platform ramp and then boarding a monorail. So....head out towards the ticket booths....then, go to the right, with the street and parking lot on your left. You will cross a small parking lot area (on your right, for employees), then you will see the Polynesian walkway signage. It goes into the landscaping, so be prepared to go into the bushes!!!! So to speak. There will be signs showing you the way to go to the GCH, where you will find 'Ohana!!
