We are looking to keep some milk and champagne cold on our next trip when staying at the AS-Sports. Milk we would need for 2-3 days for breakfast and the champagne just maybe 24 hrs. to keep cool to toast on my b-day. What is the best way to utilize the ice machine ice and the cheapest way to store it to keep these things cool for the 3 1/2 - 4 days we'll be there?? Also, I'm guessing some type of disposable cooler might be an option, and if so, we want to spend the least amount of $ and time picking one up. Anyone know if those insulated lunch bags work for longer than a few hours??? We could bring one of those from home if need be. Thanks!!!!! :sunny:

Best & Cheapest-Styrofoam. Will you have a car? You should be able to pick one up cheap at Walmart or Target.

As an avid outdoorsmen, the best way to keep temp constant is layers. Remember all the advice the weathermen gives during winter. The same is true in keeping cool, insulated layers. Try this since you only trying to keep a few things cool try this. Go to the grocery store an get one of those freezer keeper bags. They look like a sliver bag like some pizza delivery guys use. Next get see if you can get one of those collapseable insulsated bags I 've seen them a Wal-Mart near the sporting goods. Finally get a thick walled foam cooler again seen at walmart, the walls were about 1 1/2 inches thick.

Put the items in the freezer bag add ice, place freezer bag in side collapseable bag and add ice, and finally put everything in the foam coooler.

When you get to your room ask housekeeping for an extra blanket, palce blanket around cooler for (you guessed it ) more insulation. I did this was weekend on my fishing trip, and the items inside were still cold after 3 days.

We were planning on bringing milk with us as well and we have an insulated cooler. How long do you think a bottle of milk will last on ice???

If you follow the awesome advice of the poster above you, three days. We've cooled Gatorade in the sink with ice when DH races and it is "pretty cold" overnight and fine for him when he races the next morning.

Thanks, Threeriversdisneyfan! You gave me a helpful reminder I hadn't thought of!

Here is thought, maybe you could ask the kitchen manager at POP to see if they could store the champagne in one of the coolers. I would definately get something in writting in case that person not on duty when you go back the next day. Plus that makes that person accountable.
