Mom and I decided to fly to Orlando and take Amtrak back home. I know there is no Magical express to Kissimmee Amtrak station. That leads to this question. What is the best way to get to Kissimmee Amtrak station? Rent a car one way, Taxi or someone like Mears transportation? Since I know taxi's offsite can be expensive to Kissimmee, I want to explore the options.

We are doing the same trip!

I'm picking up a Budget rental car at the DTD Doubletree hotel with a one way rental. Dropping off the car at the Kissimmee location at 1621 North John Young Parkway. This location sometimes has drop off service available. If not, I will drop my other half and the luggage at the train station and take a cab back from the rental agency.

It's only about a 15 mile drive, depending on which hotel you're at. Personally, I'd just go w/ a cab.

From the TTC, take the #56 (public bus) to Osceola Square Mall. There you will transfer to the #4 to Main St. & Vine. You will then walk about two blocks (and it takes as many minutes... if that much!) to the Amtrak station.

The bus drivers are really good about everything. Just tell them you are going to the KIS station and sit up front. They'll help you with where to disembark.

This link http://www.golynx.com/plan-trip/maps-schedules.stml will take you right to the bus schedules so you can see the times. I strongly recommend it! My son and I just went via Amtrak (into KIS) over spring break and used public buses to get to Disney. It was cheap, safe, easy, and took less than one hour.

Have a great trip!!

It's super-close to WDW -- best to eliminate the guesswork and take a taxicab...
