Hi everyone. We head out to Florida for a ten day visit starting Sept 4th. Very soon!!! . We are starting at Universal for 3 nights then coming out to a BWV 1BR for a week.
We want to get groceries for the week. I've used Garden Grocer once before for a stay at AS Music family suites. It was convenient but a bit spendy.
We are not renting a car and figure on taking a taxi or Mears to get from US to BWV. ( I admit to being a bit undecided as to how we are getting to the BWV's but as we are just 2 adults we can wing it a bit)
Our choices for groceries seem to be either using GG which ultimately would be fine. Or maybe renting a car for the day and do some other running around or Getting a taxi or limo service and have them stop at a Walmart or something on the way from US to Disney. My biggest worry about that is leaving our stuff in the taxi while running to grab a few things. I think I remember reading that you can get a town car and have a grocery stop included in the service. I think I'd feel better about a grocery stop with a town car service.(Oddly going into a store to pick out our own things rather than online is preferable. Going into grocery stores and perusing the items and prices is quite fun. Just checking out what is different from home and what is the same is interesting. Obviously I am easily amused!)
Anyone have any ideas as to which of my options would be the most practical? Or does anyone have any different ideas?
Also what would be a good store to stop at on the way from US. I just figured a good old Walmart would work and they seem to be everywhere. Or a super Target.
I hope this post makes some sense. It's very early in the am and I'm not thinking as clearly as I should be.
I am however very excited for my first stay at a DVC property. I'm thinking I might just be spoiled for life after this visit!
Also I find the planning to be so satisfying and fun that I tend to over think things like this. Ah well, less than 2 weeks to go!!
Thanks everyone!
