I should add that whomever noted the trend of category 11s being upgraded to 9s during May could have a point. That was our situation.

He likes "our" room, but he also likes trying new places on the ship and thinks suites are great because they have a separate bedroom (he snores, which earns him smacks from me all night long).

. We got our documents about 2 weeks ago & I was hoping against hope for an upgrade, but no such luck. Then today I was posting... or shall we say whining
about not getting an upgrade & I checked the DCL website & lo & behold.... an upgrade!!! From cat 11 to cat 8!! YAY! Now, don't get me wrong I am MORE than happy that we were lucky enough to get an upgrade but here's my dilemma... this is our first cruise and we never spend much time in the hotel rooms we are in, we stay at the Boardwalk because we love the atmosphere & location but we don't do it for the room, and we booked a cat 11 because you still get everything else outside your room that you do in any room! So no need to spend the big bucks to get the nicest atmosphere!! Now, we are going on a 3 nighter to test out the waters, see how we like cruising & if everything I read is correct we will definately want to go again, My prob is, if we are in a nicer room on our 3 night, I feel we will be spoiled & forced to spend the $$ on a longer cruise so we wont be dissapointed! Unless, at the time we don't even have the $ to spend extra & then end up in a cat 11 no upgrade & be miserable.... I AM SOO GRATEFUL FOR MY UPGRADE, if there are any fairies reading this please don't take it away!!
Just letting you know my dilemma & share in my mixed joy & uncertainty!!

I think they have us brainwashed!!
Ahh, but would going to Disney really be the same if you didn't go broke everytime? My boyfriend & I have been together 6 years & we have been to WDW 4 times & the last time I asked when we were going back he asked... now this is scary.. "Amy, do you realize that we have spent close to $20,000 on Disney vacations?"
WHOA twenty THOUSAND??? yikes & we are by NO means rich-- mabye if we went to WDW less we would be.. hahaha well, I consider it $20,000 well spent!! & I think he feels the same, until he starts to think what he could have done with that money...oops!
