Best way to drive to Walmart from MCO

Hi all. We'll be doing a Walmart grocery run on the way to Pop Century after we land at MCO. Mapquest is telling me to take I-4 down to Walmart (at Osceola and Vineland), but I've heard horror stories about I-4 traffic... should we go another way or is there a better way to go? It will be 11am on a Monday when we'll be hitting the road. TIA.

There's a better way.

Exit out the south side of the airport and get on the Greenway. Take it South, to exit 6 (Intl. Drive). Then turn left onto Vineland. the Walmart Super-center is about a mile and a half down the road.

Yeah as GrnMtnMan said go south onto 417 and take that instead. That's our normal route for getting to Walmart down there.

And a third way ...

There can be a lot of slow traffic on Vineland in that neighborhood, so we prefer to keep going on 417 to the Osceola exit. Then, instead of turning RIGHT onto Osceola to head toward WDW, you turn LEFT on Osceola. The Walmart abuts Osceola on the lefthand side of the road, at the corner of Poinciana. All you have to do is exit at Poinciana, turn left under the Osceola overpass, and it is immediately on your left. Then you can jump right back onto Osceola after you shop, and take the low-traffic route on to WDW.

(The catch to this route is that it will cost you up to an extra $1 in tolls.)
