Would you take the bus or drive to DTD/DisneyQuest and the waterparks from the Fort? We seem to be directionally challanged when we pass through the WDW gates and have gotten lost trying to find and leave Pop Century on our last two trips, leading to some arguing that wasn't very Disney-like.

I would drive. It is fairly simple to get to either DTD or the water parks... you don't even need to know the street names

Make a left out of FW.
At the traffic light mak a right.
Go past the resorts (POR, POFQ, DVC).
At the last traffic light on this road make a left for DTD and a right for everything else... Water Parks, mini golf, DHS, AK.

My husband is directionally challenged as well. You can just take the bus from the Outpost. To get to the Outpost you can take a Disney internal bus, walk, golf cart or bike. We stay in the full hook up loops and take our bikes everywhere, but that's a personal preference. The busses run every 20 minutes, usually more often.:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

We always take the bus and then if you buy anything, they can deliever it back to the resort so you don't have to lug anything around with you.

OMG, Downtown Disney is about 2 minutes from the Fort's front gate. Drive it because it's so easy. Left out of the Fort onto Vista Blvd, turn right at the traffic light onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy, left at the light onto East Buena Vista Drive. All the DTD parking lots are on the left.

All depends on the person and the day.
If you feel like driving then go for it.
personally I HATE PARKING at DTD!
especially in a F250. So I take the Bus everywhere.
Anyway thats part of the Disney experience to me... getting to let someone else do all the driving, dealing with the traffic and not worrying about parking.
Also, if I decide to go to a Resort and get a bite to eat then no worries about driving there either.

Why would anyone want to drive when you can take the bus. They drop you off and pick you up at the entrance. Way better that fighting traffic and parking then walking.
