Best way to capture ride footage with GoPro's

I plan on using a couple of GoPros to capture most of the non-dark rides at Disney, Universal & Seaworld.

I'm aiming to have one camera focused forward facing to capture the ride and a 2nd people facing camera to capture reactions.

Has anyone done this before and if so what sort of mounts do you use?

I have a chest & head harness but don't want to use these. In some situations I will use a GoPole. I have some roll bar mounts and clamps. Are there any rides on which these would work?

From what I read on the forums Universal does not allow on-ride video. Disney has already had issues with cameras on poles and it probably won't be long before those are added to the banned list. Ymmv...

I saw multiple GoPro's on poles being used on all the rides. Personally I don't get it. There are already hundreds of YouTube videos of the rides on the internet. Unless you're filming yourself (which most were not) why bother?

DS used a selfie stick on our trip over Labor Day...because we DID want us in the shots lol. I can post a link to the video he made, but he did add a single line of text near the endwhen we were out jet-skiing that is not DIS-friendly(it's not that bad really). If you want I can pm you the link. Not too many dark rides in the video tho~Space Mtn, beginning of RNR. Some definite rain footage, lol. He used his A6000 on rides like HM and Pirates to get shots w/out needing a flash.
He has all the other mounts but found the selfie stick to be the most convenient and could have it at an adjustable height. He just wore the choest mount last weekend doing some serious karting...hitting decent speeds of 60 or so and that footage come out fine as well, but yeah, f you want to be in the shots I'd go with the selfie stick. You can control it so much better and a quick change of direction, like when DS got an up-angle of us coming out of the castle vs the usual eye-level.

I put together a video from our August 2014 trip that was almost entirely shot with a GoPro on a Platinum stick that telescoped from 9-27". The telescoping aspect was great (although the stick construction itself is rather flimsy) because I could keep it collapsed down for general walkabout shots, but expand it out to rest on the ride car in front of me to provide some stability.

The only rides I encountered where the pole mount was not allowed was at Disney's water parks. They will let you hand hold the camera on the rides there.
